Deer, The Treasure Hunter

We all have seen some mind-blowing wildlife images made possible by some incredible photographers who make it their mission to document the animals in their habitats. These experts often set up some trail cameras, which sometimes capture the creatures behaving hilariously.
For example, take this deer making rounds in the woods until he stumbled upon a barrel filled with some treats. What did he do? He chose to use his antlers as a courier service option and deliver the delicacies to his herd. We can only hope that the rest of his ilk helped him get rid of the barrel in the end.
Hey Hog, Giddy Up!

This might look like a scene from the hilarious Penguins of Madagascar films featuring King Julien, but we can assure you that this happened for real. This raccoon had probably had a long day, and instead of waltzing home, he decided to hitch a ride on the feral hog.
Now we’re curious to know what conversation the two animals had; it must’ve been quite entertaining. How the boar accepted to carry his raccoon friend is beyond us, but as long as the little guy got home safe and sound, that’s all that matters. Also, could the raccoon be the leader of an underground animal organization trying to recruit hogs?
Check Out My Crown

Look at this guy; doesn’t he look cute? Well, who knew that deer also hold some fashion pageant events in the woods, and come to think of it, they are a thing of beauty; imagine walking through the lush grass, strutting the sass. We digress.
When the wind blew the tumbleweed, this buck was spending some quiet time lodging it on his head. While he might feel uncomfortable since the shrub is a new addition to his accessories, we think he should have kept it for a while to flaunt it to the rest of the herd.
The Beauty Of Trail Cams

Without a doubt, trail cameras are an ingenious creation; they can take images without a human physically present has opened us to a whole new world of exploring the wild without interfering with the animals or their habitats.
Bears are lovely beasts, albeit from a distance. Their aggressive nature and size have made them a bit difficult to deal with, so it would be risky to have a photographer take the images in close proximity. This majestic photo of a running grizzly wouldn’t be possible if it weren’t for a trail camera, so for the existence of the gadgets, we are thankful.
Fellows, We’re Being Watched

This herd of deer must be wondering, what’s that object that keeps flashing at us? Do we have an intruder or traitor in our midst? Whatever the case, it’s a beautiful sight to see the whole group staring at the trail camera like they’ve been directed to pose for the perfect shot.
We hope they didn’t interfere with the gadget and that there were some more group pictures of the animals. Also, it seems like this area is booming with the antler family; we don’t think we have ever seen so many of them in one place!
Caught In The Act

This otter thought he could get away, but what he didn’t realize was that the trail cam caught him red-handed with a meal in his mouth. Not that anyone’s going to take this little critter’s food away from him. After all, he caught that fish fair and square, so he deserves to enjoy it.
Otters are not known for being sharing or generous, and the look on this creature’s face would warn anyone or anything from even attempting to steal his prized catch from him. He just wants to go home and dig in, so let him get on his way.
Nighttime Naughtiness

Ever wondered what owls do for fun at night? We all know they are nocturnal creatures, so they mostly sleep during the day and are up and about when darkness falls, but perhaps a glimpse of their nightlife would be interesting to see.
Well, this trail cam captured precisely that: an owl’s nighttime antics in action, in this case, scaring off a deer who just wants to find a spot to sleep. The owl clearly has other plans, and in this image, he looks ready to pounce on the deer’s back and go for a ride. Nobody sleeps when this owl is out and about!
The Eagle Fight Club

Eagles are majestic creatures that never fail to evoke awe because of the grandeur of their movements in the air, but equally as jaw-dropping is getting to see a full-on wrestling match between two eagles!
It’s like sitting ringside as two experienced fighters duke it out for supremacy. These two eagles were captured on camera as they used their moves and techniques to try and win this showdown. This is definitely more exciting to watch than some of the overhyped and relatively disappointing matches we’ve seen on TV lately. So thank heavens for trail cams!
Landing Deer Provided

Among the different varieties of squirrels, the flying squirrel is one we can call a daredevil. It has flexible limbs and web-like features that allow it to remain suspended in the air for a few moments, which is why it looks like it is able to fly.
It’s not for very long, though, so the flying squirrel needs somewhere safe and comfortable to eventually touch down. As can be seen in this photo, this squirrel definitely found the right landing strip – the back of this deer! Props to this critter for its perfect execution!
Why Share When You Can Fight For It?

The abandoned old car is big enough to be a home for both the raccoon and the fox, but it appears none of these animals is ready to share. What is more evident is their desire to own the territory and eliminate any threat.
Our money would be on the underdog – the raccoon who has the advantage of knowing the battleground and having something to protect. Although, the fox has always been known to be clever and very tricky in its own right. So in their battle for the red car, may the best animal win!
The Party Animals

No animal knows how to throw a big feast like a raccoon, who we believe had something to celebrate. It may be a sweet victory over a certain fox or something else, but no matter the reason, it seems like they had too much to eat and drink and were too heavy, even to vacate the party venue.
Thanks to this spectacular technology, we have proof of the massive celebration on camera; otherwise, we may have doubted that animals can party hard too. Hopefully, they haven’t emptied their food storage and still have some leftovers for the days to come.
No Rest For Mama

This touching situation where a mother has to care for her young, even when she can barely keep her eyes open, is no stranger to us. However, such an endearing image of a fox with her children is rare and could only have been captured with a remote camera.
It is difficult for animal parents to let anyone come close to their little ones; hence we are grateful that this beautiful moment was captured without putting lives at risk. Now, there’s no doubt mothers are loving and caring, whether they are humans or animals.
Uber For The Nightlife

Life in the animal kingdom must be so hectic that some animals have to work until late at night. If not for this picture, we would probably still be in the dark about the nightlife of creatures around us.
No one can tell what business the cat was returning from so late at night that he needed to get a piggyback ride on the buffalo to get home. The giant animal may not have been bothered about carrying the little feline or probably has no idea that it serves as a night-time Uber. Either way, this is a fascinating capture of how animals help each other out!
Battle Or No Battle?

A coyote is closely related to wolves and has been termed a predator that feeds on deer. On the other hand, the deer are no weaklings, as they have been known to become violent and aggressive when the need arises.
So this picture of an impending fight between two deer and a coyote is both hilarious and confusing at the same time. Are the two deer overconfident and fail to see the danger in front of them, or is the coyote overestimating its prowess? Let’s hope for the least horrible outcome anyway for these brave creatures.
A Curious Little Bird

At times, the remote trial cameras do not camouflage well, and animals are bound to spot them as they go about their business in the forest. They will most often start fiddling with the devices, as in the case of this woodpecker that thought the device was a tree branch and attempted to drill into it as they usually do.
The result is a blurry photo of the bird appearing to be intruding on the stunning lush vegetation captured in the background. This makes us glad that the drilling yielded no fruits and the camera remained intact.
Tiger Mud-Therapy

The scorching heat of the summer days can take quite a toll, especially on animals that do not have numerous ways to regulate their temperature. At times, with limited water and ponds drying out, mud puddles become the only viable option to dip and roll in a cooler sludge for some comfort.
Trail cameras are bound to capture such images now and then, like the captivating photo of the tiger looking so focused and fierce as it walks across the forest after what appears to have been a cooling and therapeutic mud-bath session. That is a tiger, right? Or is the sun playing tricks on our eyes?
A Midnight Snack for the Deer Family

Nothing cements friends and family time more than a feast together, and that must be the case with this herd of deer captured by a trail cam feeding off a trough in the middle of the night. Judging by their wide-eyed stares, the deers were not expecting any company while they are snacking and the camera appears to have violated that for a moment.
We can only hope that they went on to eat and didn’t trample on the gadget. After all, we want to see more of the midnight escapades that happen in the great outdoors!
Raccoon Climbing for Its Life!

Not all hunted animals survive an attack by a predator and live to tell the tale as this raccoon scampering up a tree, narrowly escaping becoming the coyote’s dinner. Luckily for us, this was captured in the trail cam, and it is safe to assume that the raccoon managed to get up the tree and away from the danger posed by the vicious hunter.
The hungry coyote will have to work smart next time to avoid going to bed on an empty stomach. We guess this time, the raccoons win again! Time to step up your hunting game, coyote!
Another Raccoon Fight

It is quite common for animals in the wild to get into fighting tussles, especially over food. After all, it is a jungle out there, and survival of the fittest is the only rule. This deer and raccoon seem to be going at it fiercely! Even though there is no referee to regulate the wrestling match, we can safely say that the deer is winning.
A desperate raccoon is working so hard to ward off the attacker, but maybe it can try to feed at a later time. We hope that they settled their bout and worked out a feeding schedule where they do not have to cross paths again!
I See You See Me

When you think you’ve seen enough, you see a clown right in the middle of the forest! It gets even creepier when they are staring right at the trail camera and giving the infamous unbothered “I see you see me” look.
That’s when you know for sure that this forest clown is not your average circus funny man and that you are going to get the scare of your life in these woods. One might even be led to think they are in a horror movie where the villain is a clown who lures people into the forest, but that’d be next-level clowning, no?
Run Bunny, Run!

From the look of things, this lion scored himself the perfect night meal, and he isn’t in the business of losing it. Look at it, making what seems like calculated steps, careful not to announce his presence to his prey ahead of the pounce. So what is the pretty rabbit still doing there then?
Could she be posing for the remote camera or maybe letting the predator think he has won before she sprints for her dear life? Hopefully, we are right about the teasing bit, and she wasn’t actually posing because if we aren’t, then oops! Poor bunny!
Privacy Breach Alert

Animals want to be shown love, too, and if that means getting a lick behind the ear, so be it, deer! This is the most beautiful picture on the Internet today if you ask us. The intimate moment between the two deers captured on the trail camera is rare, given that most animals wouldn’t do this if a human were in their vicinity.
What do we say; it’s nature! Plus, animals must also share in humans’ instincts for privacy, but in this case, the place is bugged, and the pair have no clue whatsoever. So let’s leave them alone then.
It Should Be Mine

Most folks are quite familiar with sibling rivalry, and if we ask them, this is a classic scenario of a fight between brothers. These giant birds came across this tree limb at the same time, and of course, didn’t like the idea of sharing or each of them leaving it for the other.
So they decided to have a match! It seems like quite a hot battle that needs a referee! Whichever bird won, we hope they settled the feud and shared the limb. Such is the life of siblings; how boring would their relationships be without squabbles?
A Miracle Would Be Useful

Given that boars are known as aggressive and unpredictable animals, the raccoon in this picture must have had a rough time wrestling with the hog. Assuming it wasn’t tickling the little critter, boar attacks can be pretty lethal, so hopefully, the raccoon somehow made it out alive.
If we would be realistic, though, with the way the raccoon has been pinned down, it would probably need a miracle to pull away and escape from the boar’s grip. We’ve seen the smaller animal win fights against a fox and a coyote, but this wild boar sure is different.
One For The Road, Paparazzi!

This adorable little creature indeed shows us that animals have minds of their own. It’s like the furry beast spotted the trail cam and decided that if we take a photo of him, it better be worth it. The cub resembles a small bear but appears more advanced, judging from the classic hind legs pose and charming sense of style.
Although it’s hard to tell the exact animal family that the stylish chap belongs to, he is most likely a wolverine, muscular carnivore that is a highly gifted hunter. It appears to be an impressive model as well!
Santa For Christmas Dinner?

When we are warned not to bite the hand that feeds us, it’s usually for our good so that we can enjoy long-term replenishment. Unfortunately, our ferocious bear here seems to have washed the rule book down the drain because even after all the gifts Santa has blessed us with every Christmas, this time, the beast decided to convert him to a meal.
Hopefully, the bear only wanted to play with Santa and did let him go his merry way. If not, there are lots of bear cubs who would wonder where their presents are!
Spare Me Evil Moose

The trail cam attendant must have bolted out of their seat when he came across this photo. We mean, it’s alright when we watch vampires, zombies, and werewolves in movies, but what are the chances that the devil might be in the near vicinity?
This moose must have encountered the prince of darkness and gotten converted, judging from the shiny perplexing eyes. Nonetheless, we know that it’s just an effect from the camera flash, but still, a person needs to exercise maximum caution when approaching this creature unless one wants a sitting with the enemy!
It’s A Moon Party!

When we look at such scenes in movies or tv shows, we don’t think much of it, but now that we realize that a camera captured these very real and dangerous creatures at night, it gives us goosebumps.
While we appreciate that the trail camera people took this incredible shot for us, we don’t envy them at all! It does take a lot of courage and bravado to venture close enough to these canines and let them ‘not’ see you. Besides, the howls! We hope no one screamed when these coyotes were busy howling together.
Tipsy Deer

This incredible shot is one in a million! The story goes that one day, three deer went for a boy’s night out and most likely passed by their favorite watering hole. We can understand their decision because who doesn’t need to let loose and go wild or chill now and then?
The problem is that our friend on the left forgot that we should always consume everything in moderation. We can see him falling at such an awkward angle that he could win a spot in the world book of records for it. His friends seem pretty confused by his actions and are wondering how to get him home.
Photo Finish
This raccoon couldn’t wait to take a selfie with his friends, but his two deer buddies in the background were too busy and couldn’t be bothered to look up from the meal they were already enjoying. As a result, the raccoon just snapped this candid photo!
Just like this raccoon, we all have those types of friends – the ones who have to take a picture before digging into the meal and those who want to start eating and have no time to smile and pose for a photo. For this raccoon, memories are forever, so pictures are important no matter who’s ready for it.
