Safe to say that Perkins is steadily becoming a mainstay in the laugh industry, and with his impeccable acting skills on ‘The Upshaws,’ the sky is the limit.

Marcella Arguello – 36 Years

When Marcella Arguello made the Michael Jackson impressions during her school years, we doubt she knew she would grow to become among the most sought-after comedians in the business. Yet, it seems the decision to pursue a career in comedy instead of going to be an elementary school teacher as she’d first wanted is paying off massive dividends.

Known for her signature hair, Marcella often jokes about her incredible height, and her sense of humor is unmatched. So, Beth went ahead and studied theater in college, which proved helpful in her acts. The funny woman is widely recognized today for performing in ‘The Standups,’ a ‘Netflix’ comedy series. The comedienne has undoubtedly come a long way from being a staff writer for ‘MTV’s Girl Code.’ Well, upwards is always the natural course for talented people like her, which is why today the host of ‘2 Dope Queens’ is her own boss, as well as a ‘New York Times’ best-selling writer.

His debut EP, ‘Bo fo Sho,’ was shortly followed by a self-titled full-length album.

The follow-up to the record deal was an appearance of the 18-year-old performer at ‘Comedy Central,’ making him the youngest to have a half-hour show on the channel. The comedy breakout star then delved into filmmaking by writing and directing the award-winning feature movie ‘Eighth Grade.’

Jesus Trejo – 33 Years

Some people might be curious why an organization like the ‘American Association of Retired Persons’ produced a documentary called ‘Care to Laugh’ that features standup comic Jesus Trejo. Needless to say, they aren’t expecting a young comedian to have anything to do with an organization that supports older citizens.

As it happens, while the Long Beach native is chasing his dreams of becoming a famous comedian, he’s also taking care of his elderly parents, who both have medical conditions. Because Trejo couldn’t afford to hire a caregiver at the time of their diagnoses, he became one for his parents, so we think he truly deserves all the success and attention right now.

However, Hassan didn’t give up; instead, he worked harder, and the comedian’s persistence finally bore fruits when Hassan gained worldwide recognition with his comedy special ‘Homecoming King,’ which even won him the 2018 Peabody Award. The pair’s journey was full of disappointments; one low moment was when no one showed up for their basement show except for their parents. Nevertheless, Ilana and Abbi’s passion kept burning. After a while, the two created the web series ‘Broad City,’ which became a success and won them a CNY Award nomination for Best Web Series. We hope that the talented duo continues to rise in success!

Naturally, it was a tragic moment for him, but Whitmer relentlessly pursued his goal, and today we celebrate his success and ability to turn painful experiences into both inspiring and entertaining comedy. The Emmy Award nominee released a stand-up album which aired in 2020. Even though Sam is a comic, she prefers smaller audiences over big ones to create a more personal atmosphere. The duo host the famous ‘Las Culturistas’ podcast, which has an immense following. Their journey began in NYU, where they rarely interacted, though they lived on the same floor of their freshman dorm. With such huge platforms, Funches amassed a massive fan-base that seemed insatiable with the humorist’s talent, prompting the producers of ‘Comedy Central’ to hire him as a writer for their series, ‘The Half Hour’.

In addition to cracking up a crowd, Ron also doubles as an actor. While he considers himself versatile enough to play any role that he is entrusted with, this star only portrays onscreen characters that have a comedic element to them. This way, his fans can always expect consistency with Ron’s brand.
