People go to church for different reasons. While some attend the chapel to receive help and comfort, others receive a miracle, like healing. Well, it looks like in this particular prayer house, the ghost of a healer has taken on the role of healing people.
We didn’t know that until a photographer took a picture of this woman sitting quietly in church. Although the lady was alone when the photo was taken, there were two figures in the image after it was developed. Weird, you say? Yes, we thought so too, until the priest confirmed that the strange figure was none other than the church’s ghostly healer.
A Time-Traveling Hipster?
The Gold Bridge in Canada was commemorated in 1941, and history students would tell you that modern t-shirts, sunglasses, and cameras were not yet in existence at that time. Still, at that ceremony, one gentleman seemed out of place, dressed like someone who’d better fit into a 21st-century photo.
As a result, many conspiracy theories were brought up, many believing that the man was definitely a time traveler. More down-to-earth netizens said perhaps the image was manipulated. Whatever the case, this is one of the few times we’ll spot something different or strange in history. And this incident made the commemoration more popular than the ceremony itself.
Which One Came First?
At first glance, no one would think there’s something unusual about this photo until they notice the tire surrounding the tree. So, it begs the question: what came first, the tree or the tire? Indeed, the rubber item could not have fit in through those branches. If we are to guess, it was probably cut, then wrapped around the trunk.
To trick people, perhaps the cut part of the tire has been hidden for this shot. Nevertheless, it’s also possible a shrub was planted there, and while it was still little, the tire was inserted. Whatever the explanation, the photo does look quite strange.
Is That You, Dumbo?
When exploring nature, we tend to look out for creatures on the ground; those that walk on all fours, like deer, moose, and wolves. We rarely look up unless we are there birdwatching. Imagine walking in the forest, then looking up and seeing this unusual sight.
Of course, it would cause much confusion, knowing that elephants do not climb trees. Then, there’s the issue of the nest the animal is sitting on, as only birds build those for their hatchlings. Let us not also forget the fact that elephants are pretty heavy and climbing alone would cause branches to break.
It’s A Doggy Dog World
People who have watched the movie ‘The Secret Life of Pets’ never looked at their beloved animals the same again. In the movie, our furry friends have their own lives when their owners leave. They also get into all kinds of troubles that were eventually resolved.
This scene somehow reminds us of that movie, especially since these dogs appear to have their own leader. Additionally, a soldier is saluting the canine at the center. Is this an alternate kind of reality, like in ‘Planet of the Apes’? Will astronauts who have left Earth return to find it managed by dogs?
Running On Water
When we find unusual photos online, our first thought is that they’re edited. Some are just too exaggerated to be authentic. Looking at this particular image, we cannot help but think it has been doctored. If we inspect the photograph closely, we can see that it was indeed flooded that day as a portion of the bus tires are submerged in water.
Of course, that would mean this helmeted man truly ran and floated on liquid. Perhaps it helped that he ran fast and wore flippers. There are no exceptions to what humans could accomplish, especially when there is dedication in the mix. With this man’s outfit, he was obviously very committed to the task.
Just Walking His Cat
Honestly, if we saw this sight, we would run for the hills. The lion may appear calm and relaxed, but that doesn’t mean it won’t attack strangers. Dogs have been called “man’s best friend,” yet that doesn’t mean all dogs are friendly. Nevertheless, with a leash attached, owners can easily subdue angry canines.
Of course, it’s not the same with lions, who are known to carry 400 lbs of force. A single animal is said to be as strong as six humans. Not to mention, that leash the man is holding doesn’t look very sturdy. So, onlookers should walk away and not look at this majestic animal in the eyes.
Mysterious Satellite
Over the years, humans have propounded theories to prove that there might be another civilization somewhere in outer space. Some even believe that this advanced race might be closer to us than we think. Anyone looking for proof to justify these thoughts can simply refer to the Black Knight, a mysterious dark object that has been orbiting around planet Earth for thousands of years.
While we can’t particularly say what the object truly is, many believe that Black Knight is a satellite that belongs to no one but is thought to be transmitting signals down to Earth. Now, if no one’s claiming ownership, it only makes sense that the object belongs to an alien race; not so?
An Extra Limb
We wanted to be sure that we saw correctly, so we checked again to confirm that every limb aligned with a boy’s body. Ahah, we weren’t wrong – there’s an extra limb in that photo, and it’s right next to the guy in black.
We’ve heard strange rumors of ghosts among us, and sometimes, it takes a photograph or two to prove that these spirits really do wander around. Perhaps that would explain why there’s a strange hand in this picture. Either that, or there’s a fifth boy in that photo trying to prank us. Well, we sure hope it’s the latter – the first option is rather unsettling.
Not The Northern Lights
The Northern Lights are unique, spectacular, and breathtaking, but what if we told you that there’s another marvelous light that has got people talking over the years? Yes, it’s the Hessdalen lights, which appear at Norway’s Hessdalen valley.
These lights are beautiful, no doubt, but what makes them widely talked about is the mystery behind them. They have been sighted since the early 1940s and appear at least 20 times in a year, and no one knows where they come from. One thing’s for sure – they’re not the Northern Lights, and we hope our scientists are still working hard to explain this strange occurrence.
One More Snapshot
We really need to study the science behind photos and their ability to pick out strange and unexpected people and objects, like this incident. An old lady had her picture taken, and it was after the photo had been developed that they realized she wasn’t the only one in it. Still, they could have sworn that no one was around when the snapshot was taken.
It wouldn’t have been so much of a deal, except that the other human who appeared in the photograph looked so much like her husband, who passed away years before. Did the late man come back for one final snapshot?
Too Long For Comfort
We’ve seen different abnormalities in the world, like an animal with three eyes or two tails, but nothing could have prepared us for this discovery. What makes this even weirder is the fact that no one knows what creature this is.
If it weren’t for the brave French photographer Robert Serrec who took a picture of this animal the day it came close to the surface, we wouldn’t have known that this kind of creature existed. From the looks of it, it’s shaped like an eel or tadpole and is about 80 feet long. If that was indeed an eel, then it’s too big for our peace of mind.
A Possible UFO Sighting
Countless UFO sightings were recorded in the 1940s and ’50s, so people were alert, tagging any unexplainable occurrence as proof of an existing civilization in outer space. Hence, when this strange object appeared in the sky in Los Angeles in the ’40s, many believed that it was definitely another UFO sighting.
Alas, it turned out that this was no alien invasion but a mere image of a mix of anti-aircraft and powerful searchlights. That day, there was fire, but no human was harmed; only houses. Now, we can calm down—even if there are aliens somewhere in the universe, they aren’t attacking anytime soon.
Did Giants Walk The Earth?
Since this planet has existed for a very long time, it’s hard to really know of all the creatures that have possibly lived before us. We know about the dinosaurs and mammoths, but what if giants also existed once upon a time?
This isn’t a random opinion; it’s a follow-up thought about the huge finger dug up in 1985. The body part was measured to be about 15 inches long, longer than any human’s finger should be. Experts say that this limb would belong to a man who was about 12 feet tall. Now tell us, who on earth do you know to be that tall? No one, so maybe giants once walked the earth indeed.

It’s been over 50 years since this photograph was taken, but the mystery behind the supposed spaceman behind Elizabeth Templeton remains evergreen. You might be wondering why a simple picture is such a big deal, but we would have you know that, when the photo was taken, Elizabeth’s father swore that there was nobody behind his beautiful daughter.
The outfit looked so much like a spaceman’s, which is why the mysterious man was named Solway Firth Spaceman. This incident was closely linked to other strange occurrences that made the public conclude once again that this was a possible UFO interference.
Mars Light Show
For a while now, humans have been exploring other planets, with Mars touted as being one where we can bring life to. As such, a couple of rovers have been sent to the Red Planet, and they have sent back exciting information, with most of it quite baffling, like this image.
Ironically, the rover that took this picture is known as ‘Curiosity,’ and it captured a ray of light from across the valley on the planet. What makes this a big deal is that there is no life on the surface of Mars, so where did the light come from? Were there extraterrestrial beings in that area?
A New Element At The Lighthouse
Lighthouses have this aura of mystery around them, with most of them having spooky backstories that make us not go anywhere near the structures. The fear many of us have might not be a stereotype after all, if this image is anything to go by.
Even from afar, one can clearly see what looks like a woman in a gown standing on the edge of the lighthouse. Given that no one is supposed to be up there in the first place raises questions about what the lady is doing and how she got there. Also, with the wind, shouldn’t she be keeping warm?
Lurking Stranger
Many people are afraid of darkness, and it’s all for a good reason; a lot of evil happens in the dark. Yet, these three friends decided to take a snap after a long day of activities, and when the sun had set, they felt it was the right time for the photoshoot.
It looks like a typical picture of three guys, but when you look closely, one can see the outline of a fourth person who’s lurking behind them, looking at the boys. Now, we don’t know whether they felt the other person’s presence, considering that he seems bigger than all of them; but if it were us, we’d probably have left the place running.
Strange Object In The Sky
When people talk about the most iconic images ever to be created, this one of Mary and baby Jesus always makes it on the list. Even so, if one looks closely, one might see something peculiar over the shoulder of Mary that looks like a UFO in the sky.
What’s even more interesting is that people in the background are staring at that unusual object, begging the question: were UFOs spotted way before we think they were? Or could it be something else altogether? Too bad we may never know what exactly the artist meant to create, considering the time it was painted—but it is astonishing nonetheless.
Let’s Hang Out
We have seen spooky images on this list, but we don’t think there is any that beats this one. The family in question decided to take a picture for memories purposes, and looking at it, it seems unbelievable that they didn’t see the person dangling over them from the ceiling.
It’s true that they didn’t know he was there, and it wasn’t until the film was developed that they found out about the intruder in their picture. While some people say it was an issue with the roll of film, others believe that the previous owner was introducing himself to the family.

Imagine hearing some disturbance in your backyard, and when you go out to check, you see an ape-like creature running away! That’s what happened to one woman in Florida, who managed to take a picture of the intruder, with many people conflicted about its exact nature.
Some think it’s some type of ape, while others say it’s a black bear. Whatever the case, the residents called the beast ‘Skunk Ape,’ and the authorities have never been able to identify it or its origin. That’s a pretty weird occurrence, and we hope the creature didn’t pay anyone a visit again.
Time Travel?
When archeologists in China discovered a tomb that had been sealed for over 400 years, they were excited to find out what was stored inside, and they were not disappointed. Instead, they came across a wristwatch that had details which were not available at the time the tomb was covered.
The timepiece had the word ‘Swiss’ engraved on it, and the hands were stuck on 10:06. That in itself was pretty baffling since those many years ago wristwatches weren’t in existence. So how did it get there? Could this be proof of the time travel that the world has been looking for?
Is There Life On Mars
For many decades, scientists have been contemplating whether Mars can be able to sustain life; despite the harsh conditions, it seems like we might finally get the answers. With numerous rovers sent to the planet, they have sent back helpful information, such as this picture that leads us to believe there just might be some form of life up there.
The Mars rover captured an image of rocks in a circle on the 3528th day of its mission. The arrangement of the stones is as weird as it gets, but on the 3540th day, the robot took the same image and there was something more: another rock in the middle of the circle. Many wonder who put it there.
Dinosaurs Might Not Be Extinct
For a while now, we have known that dinosaurs were eradicated from the face of the earth millions of years ago, but if this picture is anything to go by, it seems like there could be some remnants left. The snap was taken during the Civil War, and it shows the soldiers posing with what looks like a pterodactyl.
Interestingly, this is not the only photo in the records; there are many like it. While some people claim that the picture was edited, others say that dinosaurs might have been around for longer than we know. If that is the case, maybe there are some more recorded modern dinosaurs out there.
The Final Appearance
It’s usual for people who have lost their loved ones to take a picture commemorating the send-off, and these soldiers were not different. This snap was taken during the funeral of Freddy Jackson, a military mechanic who had passed on while on duty.
The twist is, he somehow is in the image, despite his peers saying they took it after they had laid him to rest. If that was the case, then who is the person in the photo who looks uncannily similar to Freddy? This is as spooky as it can be, and we will never know what really happened unless we do some time travel.
Who Was She Running From?
The story of Elisa Lam’s disappearance has baffled the minds of people around the world. To add to the mystery, these are the last known photos of her at ‘Cecil Hotel’ before she vanished. It’s noticeable that she was hiding from someone—as to who that was, we will never know.
Even after her body was discovered inside a sealed water tank on the lodge’s rooftop, her case has remained unsolved. Somehow, Lam’s disappearance is linked to the hotel she stayed in, known for its peculiar past. There have been sixteen cases of mysterious passing that happened there, including this one.
An Odd Place To Park A Truck
Our eyes are not deceiving us; that is indeed a pickup truck stuck on a tree. Some people who have seen this apparently thought the man in the photo was the owner of the unfortunate vehicle. The truth is, he’s not, and the pickup did not find its way there by accident.
As it turns out, artist and car collector Mark Madson created this unique treehouse for his son more than two decades ago. Of course, it later became known as a tourist attraction in Wisconsin called ‘Truck in the Tree,’ especially since Madson restored the 1959 ‘Chevy Fleetside’ before its installation.
An Epic Chair Dump
When we hear “chair mountain,” we are instantly reminded of the summit in Colorado. Yet, there happens to be a literal version of the phrase, and we are looking at it. No, angry people did not throw these stools ending in a very tall pile; it’s an art installation in Istanbul by Doris Salcedo.
The artist made it for the 8th International Istanbul Biennale as a tribute to the history of migration and displacement. It composes of 1,550 chairs, piled between two buildings. We can see how tall the artwork is based on the man standing in front. We must admit, no matter how simple this piece is, its message about forced migration is quite powerful.
Halloween Tandem
It’s one thing to get around; it’s another to do it in style. Unfortunately, this contraption does not fit either description, because the lady below appears to be pretty uncomfortable. If we are to guess, this is a Halloween costume—the woman in purple was the superhero while the one beneath is the villain.
We based that on the design of their outfits, especially the contorted woman in the striped bodysuit. We have to give props to her; the fact that she can get into that position, let alone stay there for a long time, is pretty impressive. We hope they won a prize for this setup, despite being very unusual.
Time Traveler Spotted
This baffling scene is a cause of controversy until today. People are debating if time travel is possible, and this photo is one reason why. This image was taken from a short clip from the DVD extras of Charlie Chaplin’s 1928 film ‘The Circus.’ As one can see, the strange woman looks like she’s talking on what looks like a mobile phone.
The device was not yet invented in the 1920s, so the only explanation some people thought of was that she’s a time traveler. Of course, experts tried to debunk the time-traveling version, one interpretation being that she was only scratching her face, or she was possibly testing a new hearing aid.
Pyramid On The Moon
Just in case anyone had no idea, there have only been six landing missions on the moon to date, with the last expedition being Apollo 17 in 1972. This photo was taken by the scientists on board that mission and written off at first due to overexposure, which made it too light to make out anything.
However, a fascinating discovery was made on adjusting the photo, which led to a spiked curiosity of many as to what the strange structure could actually be. While NASA maintains it’s only a blank photo with nothing much to see, there have been speculations by some people that it’s some kind of pyramid structure.

We always believed that cats despised water and since tigers are bigger cats we thought the same applied to them but were we proven wrong! A tiger bath may not be the most intriguing concept, but there’s no such thing as too many tigers.
As crazy as this may sound, we’re curious to know how this trio came to be in the same tab together and how long they can stay before it’s not so calm in the water. Not trying to push our agenda too hard, but a show wouldn’t be frowned upon! We wouldn’t want to be part of the tub hangout.
What On Earth?
Have you ever come across someone or a situation that got you thinking to yourself, what on earth? Here is one of those situations where we can not even phantom what is happening and find ourselves bewildered. Why is there a horse? Did the person on the ground pass out? How this photo exists and how someone remained calm enough to take it remains a mystery.
We’re not sure whether the horse is responsible for the person’s passing out on the ground or they are watching over them until a responsible adult takes over the situation. Is the horse the hero or the villain? We’ll never know.
Stranger Danger
We can’t keep up with the new lifestyles and trends teenagers come up with nowadays, especially not the games nor the dares. What could one possibly get that’s worth heading into the woods on a cold and foggy day when you can barely see anything? This band of friends may have the answer we’re looking for.
They not only captured their 15 seconds of fame but also a figure in the bushes. We hope that our unexpected photobomber is someone they know playing an expensive joke on them or hoping they learn something. If the lesson is not going down to the woods, mission accomplished!
Visitors From Beyond
When we look up at the sky at night, we are preoccupied with the breathtaking view of the stars that our minds may fail to notice anything unusual happening right before our eyes. In 1997, not even a shooting star would have distracted the people of Phoenix, Arizona, from noticing these unnatural lights in the sky.
Fear has a way of warping our perception of what is real and what is our imagination. While others believed it was an alien invasion and were afraid, others laughed it out as a prank. Amidst all the rumors, no one drew an exact conclusion of what caused the lights.

If you’re passing by and you come across this bizarre scene, go your way. There can’t be a logical explanation of why a guy in a suit holding a sewing machine is taking a photo where an accident has just occurred. If you have one, we’d like to hear it and if not, go your way.
We know what’s on your mind: did the guy on his way to prom cause the accident by diverting the bus driver’s attention from the road to his sewing machine? Is the photo to capture his victory? Or was this some mere coincidence? At this point, we’re better off not knowing!

It doesn’t matter who you are or the species you belong to; education is important. We bet those who didn’t attend school that day regretted not getting to meet this particular classmate. No one seems as eager to learn as this three-toed sloth: even the students must have been happy to have their new guests since they lent their seat.
What’s bugging us is how they’ll be able to write, considering their no thumbs situation and inability to use a pen, but there’s zero judgment from us. That’s not a big issue here. We don’t know if this is something you can get used to, or you are as lost for words as we are!

Are you aware that a bison is the largest mammal in North America? You probably thought of all the mammals you can find in that region, which is a large number, if we may add, and realized they are more than what you had imagined. Here’s what they look like, in case you’ve never seen one before!
We feel the need to mention that a male bison is almost 2,000 pounds and taller than 6 feet. You know, in case one is deceived by how adorable and fuzzy they seem and decides to recreate this photo for a few likes on social media. With the information of how much they weigh, we’ll keep a safe distance!
Not His First Rodeo
When you vow to be together for eternity, it better be to someone who fills your life with unforgettable moments. She picked right, no doubt. This picture is enough evidence to prove us right, and from the look of things, this is not his first rodeo.
Despite the seriousness of life, this lady is letting loose by taking a ride with her partner. Whether she enjoys being in control or he needs her help getting around or both, they look happy. What we find intriguing is how into it he is to the point of even dressing the part! The whip is for the horse to move faster.
Next In Line
Going to the ATM has made it on our to-do lists one too many times. It may be money to settle a few bills, an event like a birthday coming up, or maybe a debt you owe, say rabbits, and it’s time to pay up. It may be unusual for you, but we can’t say the same for this little guy in line.
The term stop behaving like an animal will soon start being inappropriate since even they are starting to show manners since this fox is patiently waiting until it’s their turn. Maybe we’re starting to rub off on each other!
Mid-Street Light Pillar
Would you trust us if we said that this shocking image had not been photoshopped? Well, it’s indeed among the rarest glimpses when a brilliant streak of light from the sky is streaming down straight on the busy street. At a glance, one might even take it for a vast white pillar with its top reaching the clouds.
We wonder if the magical beam was caused by a UFO above or due to weather conditions. It was strange enough to startle the drivers and everyone else traveling on the road. Maybe, the light pillar was a dreadful bolt of lightning – who knows?
The First-est Satellites
Talk about the world’s first artificial satellite, and anyone would mention “Sputnik,” launched by the Soviet Union in 1957. Yet, this picture compels one to believe that they are wrong! Dating back to 1954, this photo features a couple of satellite-like bodies orbiting the Earth. This is an apparent contradiction as humans lacked the skill and tech to launch space capsules back then.
So, were these extraterrestrial objects? Scientists, too, were baffled enough to provide a reasonable answer. Now, let’s not forget that the event was reported by Donald Keyhoe, who’s a UFO researcher. Maybe that’s why we’re highly skeptical about the strange claim.
Mind A Peek Into The Icy Hole?
Wintertime usually reminds us of Christmas, Santa, snowfall, hot brew, and more incredible stuff. Yet, this is also the time of the year when ponds and lakes freeze up, forming a thin icy sheet. So, we highly advise those who love ice skating or go ice fishing to be cautious while walking on the frozen layer.
If one’s fortunate, they can behold some fascinating ice formations similar to the one in the photo. Although it’s a scenic beauty worth capturing on camera, none would perhaps dare to peek into the dark, icy hole. Well, we’d love to imagine that it’s a portal to a wonderland like Alice’s.
Someone, Get Him Out!
First of all, how did this man even manage to get in there? We can spend hours reckoning the possible manner in which he wiggled himself into a spiral climber. Anyone can predict whether they would fit through something from an eye estimation, but this fellow clearly lacks that sense. So, instead of walking away, he chose to prove others wrong and ended up embarrassing himself.
We appreciate that the guy wishes to keep his inner child alive, but, sadly, he had to deal with the excruciating pain. Let’s hope someone rang up the discharge service shortly to help the poor man out!
The Unidentified Spectator
President John F Kennedy’s shocking expiration left the world in awe and deep mourning. In the weeks that followed, officials were assigned to a thorough investigation of the case. That’s when they stumbled upon a mystery woman named “Babushka Lady,” who was a strong eyewitness of the sinful event.
Although this female figure appeared in several video clips shot by passers-by, her identity still remains a conundrum to everyone. Even some fifty years later, the team of cops couldn’t track the woman or get their hands on the tapes she had recorded while the shot was fired. Indeed, a highly mysterious affair!
Celestial Spirals
We know nature offers us wonders like the Northern Lights, Grand Canyon, and many more. So, when people spotted a giant spiral light with green beams, they were fascinated and stunned at the same time. Strangely, it appeared nowhere close to the aesthetic lights of the Aurora Borealis. So then, was it a meteor or a supernormal happening?
As astronomers remained perplexed, some government agencies came forward to unravel the mystery. To our utmost shock, they declared it to be caused by missile launch failures. Now, who would believe that rockets getting out of control could result in a huge celestial spiral? Well, many of us wouldn’t!
The Hero Of Patterson-Gremlin Film
Those interested in extraterrestrial creatures and unusual happenings on the face of Earth are perhaps no stranger to the Patterson-Gremlin short film. With a running time of only 59.5 seconds, this iconic documentary movie is probably the first to capture a Bigfoot on camera. Yet, science still hasn’t been able to validate the existence of these colossal hairy creatures.
One may think that it was a person dressed as a beast, but scientists dismissed the suspicion. They opined that a human could hardly imitate the cryptid’s behavior and walking style. Besides, we don’t guess the technology was advanced enough fifty years ago to fabricate the episode using special effects.
The Right Way Or No Way
Libraries have rules put in place to protect the resources in them from any damage whatsoever. This may not be interesting to people used to weird things, but it is to us. Banning all kinds of meals would have been nothing out of the norm, however Oreos specifically? There has to be a story behind this and a really good one, for that matter!
Probably the librarians there just lack a sweet tooth, or someone wasn’t eating them the right way. Yes, there is a right way to eat Oreos. If someone wasn’t eating them with milk, that ban was justified! We are in support.

The whole idea of people willingly spooking themselves out by watching something creepy or horrific still beats us. We sometimes fall under the category of these people. When we first look at this photo, we appreciate the invention of black and white photography, which was the thing around the time these maidens took it.
However, when you observe with a keen eye, you will notice something that should send shivers down your spine. Spotting the girl on the right with the hand on her shoulder will have you thinking how sweet. Although when you realize that the hand does not belong to anyone in the photo, you may want to change your mind!
Eighth Wonder, No?
We have managed to document the most spectacular natural traits and man-made structures, yet for some reason, we failed to include moving stones in the desert as one of the wonders of the world. It could be because we have shared snaps of this phenomenon one too many times that we’re no longer wondering. They may be mere stones, but what is fascinating is that they can move on their own without pushing them.
Science can answer a lot of questions however, our minds are still blown away by how this is still a mystery even to the most brilliant minds. Mother Nature does have some cool tricks for us, yes?
