Ed Sheeran – £144 Million

Ed Sheeran gained attention on YouTube, and in 2011 he released No.5 Collaborations Project. He caught the attention of Asylum Records, who signed him up that same year. Sheeran now has a Grammy Award for Thinking Out Loud, and he’s sold over 150 million records globally.

Sheeran’s career has helped him amass an estimated £144M, and he’s set to earn more from both his music and other ventures. He teamed up with Stuart Camp, his manager, to open a bar in Notting Hill called Bertie Blossoms in 2019. The name was an ode to his wife Cherry Seaborn, and the couple welcomed their first child in August 2020.

Rita Ora – £22 Million

Dj Fresh featured Rita Ora on the 2012 single Hot Right Now, and that’s how she gained recognition. She released her debut album, Ora, later that year, and her second album released in 2018 spawned hits like Your Song and Let You Love Me. Ora has also featured in several TV shows, and in 2020 she joined Masked Singer UK as a panelist.

She’s also serving as a coach on The Voice Australia’s 10th season. Ora is still working on music, and in 2020 she dropped a new song called How to Be Lonely off of her upcoming third album. Ora is worth £22M.

Daniel Radcliffe – £79 Million

David Copperfield, the 1999 two-part drama, marked Daniel Radcliffe’s cinematic debut. Two years later, he landed the role in the Harry Potter series of films, and he gained worldwide critical acclaim for portraying the title character. Radcliffe transitioned seamlessly into mature roles with exemplary performances in The Woman in Black, Swiss Army Man, and Escape from Pretoria. 

Radcliffe is now worth £79M, and he extends part of his fortunes to various charitable causes. He auctioned off a selection of items, including a pair of jeans he wore when Equus was on Broadway. The proceeds went to the Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.

Daisy Ridley – £6 Million

Daisy Isobel Ridley portrayed Rey in the trilogy sequel of Star Wars films. Ridley has also appeared in Ophelia, Murder on the Orient Express, and recently in the 2021 dystopian film Chaos Walking. 

Ridley has also lent her voice to several video games, including Disney Infinity 3.0, 12 Minutes, and Baba Yaga. She’s also participated in theme park attractions as her Star Wars character Rey in Disneyland and Disney’s Hollywood Studios. She also featured in Wiley’s music video for his 2013 song Lights On.  Ridley is worth an estimated £6M.

Kate Beckinsale – £14 Million

Kate Beckinsale came under the spotlight through an appearance in Much Ado About Nothing. She’s since featured in several other notable productions, including Pearl Harbor and The Aviator, with upcoming roles in Jolt and El Tonto. On the small screen, she had a lead role in the 2019 drama series The Widow.

Beckinsale has also featured in commercials for brands like Diet Coke and Absolut Vodka. Her likeness has been used for the Van Helsing and Underworld: The Eternal War video games. She also lent her voice to a series of ’90s audiobooks played on the radio, including Romeo and Juliet. Beckinsale is worth an estimated £14M.

Idris Elba – £21 Million

Idriss Akuna Elba has noteworthy credits in The Wire, Luther, and the biographical film Nelson Mandela. He has several upcoming features in 2021 films like The Suicide Squad, Three Thousand Years of Longing, and The Harder They Fall. Elba dabbles in music, and in 2020, he released in collaboration with Jay Robinson and  Mau5trap.

Elba presented Journey Dot Africa on BBC Radio 2, and he’s also appeared in numerous TV commercials. Elba and Sabrina Dhowre run Green Door Pictures, and in January 2021, they announced that they are working on an Afrofuturist sci-fi series. Elba has banked a reported £21M from his career.

Sam Smith – £10 Million

Sam Smith identifies as genderqueer, and in September 2019, Smith decided to go by a non-binary reference when it came to gender pronouns. Smith now responds to they/them, and in the spirit of being politically correct, they had a breakthrough in October 2012 when they featured on Disclosure’s single Latch.

Smith released In the Loney Hour in 2014 and Love Goes, their 2020 studio album, followed. Smith has four Grammys, three Billboard Music Awards, a Golden Globe, and three Brit Awards, amongst other accolades to their name. Smith is worth about £10M.

Tom Holland – £10 Million

Tom Holland’s rise to fame started in theatre during the staging of Billy Elliot the Musical between 2008 and 2010. The Impossible saw him earn the Young British Performer of the Year accolade from the London Film Critics Circle. Holland is now well-known for portraying Spider-Man in the Marvel Cinematic Universe films.

Holland is slated to reprise the role as Peter Parker in the 2021 Spider-Man sequel No Way Home. Holland lives in the London town of Kingston upon Thames near his folks and three younger brothers. He also collaborates with his siblings as sponsors of The Brothers Trust. Holland’s career has helped him amass an estimated £10M.

Dev Patel – £7 Million

Skins is the show where Dev Patel made his screen debut portraying the role of Anwar Kharral. He didn’t have any professional training when he landed the role, but it led to even greater parts like his BAFTA-nominated role in Slumdog Millionaire. Patel continues acting, and he has upcoming roles in The Green Knight and Monkey Man.

He has also appeared in a few promotional videos, like when he teamed up with Nokia to promote their N8 model through a short film titled The Commuter. Patel voiced the role of Zuko for the 2010 Last Airbender video game. He is worth an estimated £7M.

 

Emma Watson – £57 Million

Hermione Granger is the character Emma Watson portrayed in the series of Harry Potter films. She later starred in Beauty and the Beast as Belle, and the 2017 film stands as one of the highest-grossing movies of our time. We last saw her in the 2019 period drama Little Women.

Watson has modeled for brands like Lancome and Burberry. She joined the board of directors of the luxury brand Kering in 2020, extending her advocacy efforts for sustainable fashion. Watson also serves as a Goodwill Ambassador for UN Women. She’s worth £57 M.

Judi Dench – £32 Million

Dame Judith Olivia Dench is known for performances in Shakespeare’s plays, including Macbeth and Romeo and Juliet. She has upwards of 100 film credits to her name, and she isn’t nearly done with an upcoming role in the upcoming drama film Belfast. 

Dench is also musically inclined, and she dabbled in rap, evidenced by the 2017 video that surfaced on LaDBible showing her dropping her best lines. Her discography extends to providing narration for the current version of Spaceship Earth (Epcot) 15-minute ride. She also performed Folies Bergères for the 2009 film Nine. She’s worth a reported £32M.

John Fury – £1.4 Million

John Fury made a name for himself as a bare-knuckle fighter and boxing cornerman. His career kicked off in 1987, spanning over eight years until he retired in June 1995 after facing off with Steve Garber. In total, Fury had 13 bouts competing against the likes of David Hopkins and Adam Fogerty.

He comes from a history of bare-knuckle fighters, and his son Tyson Luke Fury is a two-time heavyweight champion. Fury also makes regular guest appearances on British TV shows. In February 2020, he appeared in This Morning and later in Good Morning Britain. Fury is worth £1.4M.

 

 

Anthony Hopkins – £114 Million

Queen Elizabeth II knighted Sir Anthony Hopkins in 1993 for his contributions to the arts. Hopkins received two stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and he has several other accolades acknowledging his incredible skill as a filmmaker, composer, and actor. Following his stunning delivery in The Silence of the Lambs as Dr. Hannibal Lecter, we’ve seen Hopkins recently in The Father (2020), Elyse (2020), and he has an upcoming role in The Virtuoso.

Hopkins is a music composer, and his concert hall pieces Schizoid Salsa and The Masque of Time premiered at the Dallas Symphony Orchestra. Hopkins has amassed an estimated £114M throughout his career.

Harry Styles – £57 Million

Harry Styles gained notoriety as a member of One Direction, who went on a break in 2016. Like his fellow bandmates. Styles embarked on solo projects, and he released his self-titled album in 2017, followed by his second album called Fine Line in 2019. Syles also tried his luck at acting and made his big-screen debut in Christopher Nolan’s Dunkirk. 

Styles became the first man to grace Vogue magazine’s cover in a solo feature in December 2020. He also co-chaired the Met Gala alongside Serena Williams and Lady Gaga in 2019. Styles is worth an estimated £57 M.

 

Louis Tomlinson – £44 Million

William Tomlinson came under the spotlight as a member of One Direction. Tomlinson’s career started on the small screen when he appeared in the TV movie If I Had You as an extra and the drama series Waterloo Road. Following One Direction’s 2016 hiatus, Tomlinson released a series of singles that have performed well on the charts.

He eventually released his solo album dubbed Walls in January 2020. Beyond music, Tomlinson has a short stint with the Doncaster Rovers soccer team on a non-contract basis. He also formed Triple Strings, a record label, in 2013. Tomlison fortunes are in the £44M range.

Liam Payne – £46 Million

The X Factor gave Liam Payne a platform to debut as a singer, and he eventually ended up as part of One Direction. When the group took a break in 2016, Payne signed up with Republic Records. In 2019 he released his solo debut album LP1. 

Payne is equally philanthropic like his fellow bandmates, and he supports organizations like Unicef as well as CLIC Sargent. He also serves as the Sustainable Development Goals’ ambassador. He popped the big question to Maya Henry in August 2020. Payne has amassed about £46M throughout his career.

Cara Delevingne – £20 Million

Once she left school in 2009, Cara Delevigne signed up with Storm Management. Her modeling career earned her recognition as the 2012 and 2014  British Model of the Year. She crossed over to the screen in 2012, appearing in Anna Karenina. Delevigne now has credits in Suicide Squad, Paper Towns, and the 2020 romantic drama Life in a Year.

Delevigne co-wrote a young adult fiction novel titled Mirror, Mirror in 2017, which explores the LGBT genre. She’s also designed two collections for the clothing brands Mulberry and DKNY. Delevigne is scheduled to appear in the upcoming films Together Now and Punk. She’s worth an estimated £20M.

Zayn Malik – £54 Million

Zayn Malik is known for his time as part of the English boy band One Direction, but he parted ways with the group in March 2015. Malik signed up with RCA Records, and Pillowtalk off of his 2016 album topped both the US and UK charts. Malik dropped his third album in January 2021.

Malik teamed up with Giuseppe Zanotti and released a footwear collection in 2017. The same year he also worked with Donatella Versace for the Zayn x Versus capsule collection. Malik’s philanthropy saw him donate £10K towards the medical treatment of a five-year-old in 2020. He’s worth about £54M.

 

Aaron Taylor-Johnson – £11.5 Million

The 2010 superhero flick Kick*SS and its 2013 sequel gave Aaron Taylor-Johnson prominence in the industry. Taylor-Johnson started acting at six when he appeared in films like The Illusionist, Shangai Knights, and The Thief Lord. He delivered a stellar performance in Nocturnal Animals and won a Best Supporting Golden Globe award.

Taylor-Johnson continues thrilling us in movies like Tenet (2020), and he has upcoming credits in Bullet Train and The King’s Man. Taylor-Johnson is married to Sam Taylor-Wood, and they share two children while he is also the stepfather of his wife’s two children from her previous marriage. Taylor-Johnson is worth £11.5M.

 

Stormzy – £17 Million

Michael Omari Owuo Jr. is better known professionally as Stormzy. He gained attention as part of the UK underground music before topping the charts with his 2015 single Shut Up. He dropped Gangs, Sings & Prayer in 2017 and set the record for the first grime album to top the UK Charts.

Heavy Is the Head is the second album Stormzy released in 2019. Stormzy made it on the Powerlist 2021 for his advocacy efforts and pledging £10 to various charities. He also set up the Stormzy Scholarship for Black UK Students. Stormy’s fortunes fall in the £17M range.

Dua Lipa – £11 Million

Warner Bros. Records signed up Dua Lipa in 2014, and three years later, she released an eponymous album. Her singled Be the One and New Rules charted both in the UK and US. In 2020 Lipa released Future Nostalgia to critical acclaim, and the album garnered six Grammy nominations.

Lipa has graced the cover of several magazines, and she recently appeared in the March 2021 issue of Time. She also collaborated with Pepe Jeans London for a third design included in their 2020 autumn/winter collection. Lipa is worth an estimated £11M.

Sophie Turner – £5 Million

Sophie Turner and her husband Joe Jonas welcomed their first child in July 2020. Turner has still been hard at work, and she’s scheduled to star in the upcoming 2021 series The Prince. She came to prominence portraying Sansa Stark in the HBO series Game of Thrones, but her journey to stardom began at the age of three when she joined the Playbox Theatre Company.

Turner’s big-screen credits include X-Men: Apocalypse, Dark Phoenix, and Heavy. She has collaborated with brands like Louis Vuitton for print publications. Turner is estimated to have amassed £5M throughout her career.

Nicholas Hoult – £5 Million

The 2002 comedy About A Boy gave Nicholas Hoult his breakthrough in the industry. He then appeared in the British teen drama Skins before transitioning to mature roles. Hoult’s notable credits include X Men: First Class, Mad Max: Fury Road, and the upcoming 2021 western thriller Those Who Wish Me Dead.

Hoult has appeared in several commercials for brands like the automaker Jaguar and the luxury clothing brand Emporio Armani for their 2020 Together Stronger campaign. Hoult has earned an estimated £5M throughout his career, and he supports several charitable causes, including the World Wide Fund for Nature.

 

Little Mix – £50 Million

Little Mix banded in 2011 after the members competed on The X Factor. Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Jade Thirwall, and Perrie Edwards make up the group, and Jesy Nelson left in December 2020, citing mental health issue. The group was the first act signed by Simon Cowell’s Syco Music, and they now have six albums out. 

Confetti was their album released in 2020, and it charted in the top five under the UK Albums Charts. Little Mix The Search is the talent series the group launched, and it started airing on BBC One in September 2020. Their collective worth as a band is estimated at £50M.

Niall Horan – £50 Million

One Direction banded from the British competition show The X Factor, and Niall Horan is one of the band members. When the pop band went on hiatus in 2016, Capital Records signed Horan as a solo artist. Horan released Flicker, his solo album, in 2017, followed by Heartbreak Weather in March 2020.

Horan is also philanthropic, and in 2014 he hosted a charitable football challenge at the King Power Stadium, with the proceeds going to the Irish Autism Action foundation. The event raised £300K, and Horan continued supporting the foundation in 2016 when he came up with limited-edition T-shirts. Horan is worth £50M.

John Boyega – £4 Million

Adebayo Bamidele Adegboyega is credited as John Boyega, and the sci-fi comedy Attack the Block earned him recognition. Boyega had his breakthrough in the trilogy of Star Wars films as Finn. His role in Small Axe as Leroy Logan saw him win the 2021 Best Supporting Actor Golden Globe Award.

 Boyega has several upcoming credits in They Clone Tyrone and Rebel Ridge. He’s also done voice work for Disney Infinity 3.0 and two Star Wars-themed video games. Boyega also makes appearances at theme parks like Disneyland and Disney’s Hollywood Studios as his Star Wars character.  Boyega has amassed an estimated £4M throughout his career.

Sam Faiers – £6 Million

 Samantha Faiers is best known for starring in The Only Way Is Essex between 2010 and 2014. She also competed in the Celebrity Big Brother and finished fifth.  Faiers is a regular guest on chat shows like THis Morning, Loose Women, and Daybreak. She’s served as a panelist on the British panel game Celebrity Juice. 

She ventured into fitness by launching Celebrity Training with Sam Faiers offering exercising videos and recipes. Faiers has two children, a boy called Paul Tony Knightly and a girl called Rosie Knightley, with her boyfriend, Paul. She’s worth an estimated £6M.

Maisie Williams – £4 Million

Margaret “Maisie” Williams had a lead role in Game of Thrones marking her acting debut. She also guest-starred in other shows, including Doctor Who, Cyberbully, and recently in the 2020 drama Two Weeks to Live. Williams has taken work on the big-screen in productions like The Falling, The New Mutants, and The Owners.

As an internet entrepreneur, she co-developed and launched Daisie, which is a networking app that brings together creators and artists who are just getting their footing in the industry. Williams teamed up with Always for their 2015 Like a girl campaign and Apple for their 2020 “Made in the UK” ad. Williams’s career has earned her an estimated £4M.

Ian McKellen – £43 Million

For the last six decades, Ian McKellen has scooped a Golden Globe, Tony Award, and seven Olivier Awards, amongst other accolades. It all goes back to the exemplary performances he’s delivered in productions like The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings series of films. McKellen publicized his orientation in 1988 when he came out as gay.

He’s a vocal activist on LGBT issues, and he co-founded Stonewall, which is an organization that lobbies for their rights. McKellen has also narrated several audiobooks, and recordings of his voice alerting patrons to switch off their mobile devices plays at the Royal Festival Hall before performances. He is worth an estimated £43M.

Billie Faiers – £2.8 Million

The Only Way Is Essex gave Bille Shepherd a platform to display her acting chops.  She is Sam Faiers’s sister, but after tying the knot with real estate broker Greg Shepherd in 2011, Bille adopted his last name. Billie and Shepherd share two children, a daughter called Nelly and a son called Arthur. 

We’ve also seen Billie in productions like Loose Women, Sam & Billie: The Mummy Diaries, and in 2021 she contested on Dancing on Ice, but she withdrew from the show in its fourth week when she sustained a head injury during training. Billie is worth an estimated £2.8M.

George Ezra – £14 Million

Cassy O’ and Did You Hear the Rain are two EPs that helped George Ezra Barnett rise to prominence. Budapest is the single that helped him top the charts in several countries, and his first album Wanted to Voyage topped the UK charts. In February 2019, The Brit Awards recognized him as the British Male Solo Artist of the year.

Ezra runs a podcast with friends, and he collaborated with Ollie MN for the Phone A Friend podcast in January 2020. He also read a children’s publication on CBebbies and appeared on the BBC Four show Vic & Bob’s Big Night Out.  Ezra is worth about £14M.

Olivia Holt – £1 Million

You might have seen Olivia Hastings Holt in productions like Kickin It on Disney XD or the Disney Channel original flick Girl vs. Monster. Holt has also voiced several animated characters in films like Gnome Alone, Status Update, and Class Rank. Hollywood Records released her debut EP in 2016.

Holt partnered with PlayMG as their spokesperson, and she’s also a part-owner of the mobile gaming company. In 2016 Neutrogena announced their collaboration with Holt as a brand ambassador. She’s scheduled to star in the upcoming 2021 series Cruel Summer. Holt has banked an estimated £1M from her career.

 

 

Michael Caine – £53 Million

Sir Michael Caine has entertained us in over 130 films over the last six decades. His collective films have raked in more than $7.8B worldwide, and Caine ranks 20th on the list of highest box office earners. Caine is still hard at work, and we recently saw him in the 2021 crime drama Twist.

In 2007 he released Cained, a compilation CD, under Universal Music TV. Caine has also sung as part of his roles in productions like The Muppet Christmas Carol and Little Voice. Caine has published three memoirs and two trivia publications. He is worth an estimated £53M.

Stephen Fry – £21 Million

Stephen Fry and Hugh Laurie make up the comedic duo Fry and Laurie. They’ve collaborated on shows like Jeeves and Wooster as well as A Bit of Fry & Laurie. As an actor, Fry’s feature in Wilde earned him a Golden Globe nomination. He’s also notably appeared in  A Fish Called Wanda and The Hobbit series of films.

Fry lent his voice for the series of Harry Potter audiobooks, the Birds of Steel video games, and the LittleBigPlanet. He published The Liar in 1991 and, most recently, Troy: Our Greatest Story Retold in 2020. Fry also pens a weekly column for The Guardian’s Saturday edition. He is worth an estimated £21M.

John Cleese – £14 Million

The Edinburgh Festival Fringe is where John Marwood Cleese first achieved success. He also served as a performer and writer for the ’60s satirical show The Frost Report. He later found success as part of the Monty Python comedic troupe starring in films like The Meaning of Life and Monty Python and the Holy Grail.

He teamed up with Connie Booth, his first wife, to write the ’70s sitcom Fawlty Towers. Cleese has upcoming roles in the 2021 films Clifford the Big Red Dog and Father Christmas is Back. Cleese has earned an estimated £14M throughout his career.

Jeremy Irons – £11 Million

Jeremy Irons kickstarted his career at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School, where he received classical training. He then appeared in a series of plays staged by the West End theatre. He crossed over to the screen with The French Lieutenant’s Woman giving him his film debut. 

Irons has lent his voice to an extensive array of audio works, including recording audiobooks like The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho and Roald Dahl’s James and the Giant Peach. Alongside 40 British voices, Irons lent his voice in 2020 to read a couple of verses from Samuel Taylor Coleridge’s The Rime of the Ancient Mariner. He is worth an estimated £11M.

Ben Kingsley – £43 Million

Sir Ben Kingsley has been involved in the entertainment industry for more than five decades. He’s garnered accolades along the way, including two Golden Globes, a Grammy, and a Screen Actors Guild Award. You might have seen him in productions like Shutter Island, Gandhi, and The Jungle Book.

Kingsley is still in rotation, and in 2021 we’ve already seen him in Locked down, and he has an upcoming role in The Way of the Wind. His charitable endeavors include staging The Children’s Monologues alongside other notable names like Tom Hiddleston and Benedict Cumberbatch to raise funds for Dramatic Need. Kingsley is worth £43M.

Christian Bale – £86 Million

Christian Bale is a renowned method actor known for versatility in the range of roles he plays. It’s the reason why he’s received two Golden Globes and an Academy Award. He blew us away in American Psycho and notably lost 63lbs for his lead in The Machinist. Bale also notably starred in the series of Christopher Nolan’s Batman films.

Bale is currently working on Thor: Love and Thunder and an upcoming David O. Russell movie. He actively supports groups like Greenspace and the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society. Alongside Sibi Blažić, his wife, Bale, sits on the board of the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund.  He has earned an estimated £86M throughout his career.

Sean Bean – £14 Million

Shaun “Sean” Mark Bean made his debut in the 1983 staging of Romeo and Juliet. He transitioned to the big-screen featuring in The Lord of the Rings series of films, National Treasure, and the 2020 psychological horror Possessor. His voice roles include the 2020 animated fantasy Wolfwalkers and the Hitman 2 video game.

Bean has had an equal measure of success on the small-screen with recent roles in the Snowpiercer and Time. Bean has been down to the altar a total of five times, and he’s currently hitched to Ashley Moore. He has three daughters, two from his second and third marriage. Bean is worth a reported £14M.

 

Colin Firth – £17.9 Million

Colin Firth is best known for his role in The King’s Speech as King George VI. Firth’s career started in the ’80s when he identified as part of the Birt Pack; the term used given to young British stars who achieved success in Hollywood. He’s starred in several other productions like Bridget Jones’s Diary, Love Actually, and the Kingsman series of films.

He established Raindog Films in 2012 in partnership with Ged Doherty. The production house’s first theatrical release was the 2015 thriller Eye in the Sky. Recently, Firth shared the screen with Julie Walters in the 2020 drama The Secret Garden. Firth is worth a reported £17.9M.
