Cassandra Peterson – 71 Years Old

You may know her as Elvira, Mistress of the Dark, but she’s actually a Kansas native who goes by the name of Cassandra Peterson. An American actress/writer/singer, Peterson became famous for hosting the B-movie presentation show Elvira’s Movie Macabre, which ran successfully for five years in the mid-’80s.

Peterson still makes occasional appearances as Elvira, but she’s also expanded her acting portfolio to include several non-macabre roles. The latest came earlier this year, as Peterson appeared in the movie Shoplifters of the World and the animated series Dota: Dragon’s Blood.

Linda Gray, 82, Born In 1940 – Dallas

Linda Gray rose to fame in the late ’70s for her starring role in the series called “Dallas.” Her performance as Sue Ellen Ewing earned her nominations at the Golden Globe and Primetime Emmy Awards. She initially worked as a commercial model in the ’60s.

Gray is also an accomplished stage actress, giving memorable performances in productions of “The Graduate” and “Terms of Endearment.” Gray isn’t as busy as she used to be, but she still does occasional acting work. She appeared in a film called “Intuitions” in 2019. She also has a “Dallas” cast reunion on an episode of “Stars in the House” in 2020.

Victoria Principal – 73 Years Old

 

The American actress Victoria Principal may have retired from the screen 20 years ago, in 2001, but she’s still a familiar face to most U.S. viewers. After all, she was one of the leading stars of Dallas, a popular long-running TV series that captured the imagination of a generation of fans.

Principal is 71 years old and away from the spotlight, but what has she been up to since quitting show business? After selling her successful skincare business Principal Secret in 2019, the small-screen icon decided to dedicate entirely to her foundation, The Victoria Principal Foundation for Thoughtful Existence.

Ann-Margret, 82, Born In 1941 – State Fair

With a career spanning over six decades, starting in 1961, Ann-Margaret has made a name for herself in the acting and music scene. She can be remembered for acting in numerous projects, including “State Fair,” “The Train Robbers,” and “Tommy.” Among her numerous accolades are five Golden Globe wins.

Ann-Margret also flourished in the music scene. Her sultry and vibrant voice made her be named the female version of Elvis Presley. True enough, she released multiple gospel and Christmas songs. Though she has advanced, she still appears on-screen regularly and starred in “Queen Bees” in 2021.

Jane Birkin, 76, Born In 1946 – Slogan

Jane Birkin rose to prominence for her decade-long partnership with Serge Gainsbourg. She is also an established actress in both the French and English cinema. She is best remembered for the album “Jane Birkin/Serge Gainsbourg” and for co-starring in “Slogan.”

The following years of her career revolved around taking roles in various film and television projects. This included the award-winning “A Soldier’s Daughter Never Cries.” It might also be interesting to add that she was the inspiration behind the Hermès Birkin handbag. Pursuing her love for acting, Birkin appeared in the 2022 documentary “Passage des arts.”

Debbie Harry, 77 , Born In 1945 – The Tide Is High

Debbie Harry once worked as a secretary, model, and dancer until she co-founded the band Blondie in 1974. She became the group’s lead singer, and together, they released numerous chart-topping singles and albums. Some of the band’s most successful hits include “Rapture” and “The Tide Is High.”

Harry also tried her luck in acting and obtained lead roles in films “Union City,” “Body Bags,” and “Videodrome.” Although she’s aged since those days, Harry remains youthful and still graces our television screens. In 2022, she appeared in the documentary “The Andy Warhol Diaries.”

Stefanie Powers, 80 , Born In 1942 – Hart to Hart

Stefanie Powers had her humble beginnings in secondary roles in the early ’60s. It was when she starred as Jennifer Hart in the 1979 television series “Hart to Hart” that she received mainstream recognition. Her performance in the series landed numerous Primetime Emmy and Golden Globe nominations.

Since then, she has been cast to star in more projects. She starred in the real-life drama “At Mother’s Request” and the hit BBC drama “Doctors.” Her contribution to the field earned her a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Continuing her legacy, she appeared in the 2021 series “On the Verge.”

Ruth Buzzi, 86, Born In 1936 – “Rowan & Martin’s Laugh-In”

Comedian, singer, and actress Ruth Buzzi gained fame and acclaim for her appearance in the popular sketch comedy program “Rowan & Martin’s Laugh-In.” During her time on the show from 1968 to 1973, she had earned five Emmy nominations and won a Golden Globe for her work.

She continued to find notable TV success after leaving that production and also became a popular voice actress. Some of her notable voice jobs included voicing Mama Bear on “The Berenstain Bears” and voicing several characters, in particular Ruthie, in “Sesame Street.” In 2020 she had a role in a film called “Glenn’s Gotta Go.”

Gloria Estefan, 65, Born In 1957 – Conga

Gloria Estefan is called the Queen of Latin Pop as she paved the way for Latin artists to gain mainstream success, such as Shakira and J.Lo. It all started when she acted as the lead singer of the group Miami Sound Machine. In 1985, they released “Conga,” which became her signature song.

She has since sold over 75 million record sales worldwide, making her one of the best-selling female singers. Among her long list of accolades is the Presidential Medal of Freedom and Kennedy Center Honors for her contribution to music. Billboard named Estefan the 3rd most successful Latina. Continuing her legacy, she appeared in “Vivo” in 2021.

Jenna Jameson, 49, Born In 1974 – Private Parts

Jenna Jameson is a pretty big deal when it comes to the adult film industry. At one point, she was one of the most popular actresses in the industry and even hs 35 various awards and accolades to show for it. She has even been inducted into the Adult Video News Hall of fame.

Her popularity in the industry even opened doors for her in mainstream films, and she had a notable role in the Howard Stern movie “Private Parts.” She also started her own adult film production company, authored books like “Jenna Tales: Lip Service,” and continues to work as a webcam model.

Bern Nadette Stanis, 69, Born In 1953 – Good Times

Although not an A-lister, many fans may still recognize Bern Nadette Stanis as Thelma Evans on the CBS show “Good Times,” which ran from 1974 to 1979. While playing the part, the actress showed her dancing skills and was often hailed for her elegance and form while performing on TV.

Sadly, Stanis arguably didn’t achieve the same level of popularity that she got from the show, as she only landed minor roles in several series in the past years. She may not regularly pop up on our screens, but she remains active. In 2020, she starred in the short “Dreams from the Edge” as Rose Lane.

Cher, 77, Born in 1946 – Dancing Queen

Cher’s place in the history books will be placed right at the top of the section for the most versatile artists. She started her music career in the ’60s and has evolved from folk to disco, rock, and techno dance with hits like I Got You, Babe, Believe, and Dark Lady.

Her musical exploits have seen her dubbed the Goddess of Pop, plus she’s also an accomplished actress. She won an Oscar for Best Actress in her role in the film Moonstruck. She also had roles in hit films like Mask and Mermaids. She starred in a 2021 documentary about herself called Cher: In Her Own Words.

Susan Dey – 70 Years Old

Susan Dey shot to fame as part of the hit musical sitcom The Partridge Family in the ‘70s. Following that career-defining stint, she went on to act in film and TV. She most notably starred in the NBC legal drama L.A. Law, portraying a deputy district attorney. 

Now in her late 60s, Dey is no longer in the spotlight. However, she did take a break from her private life in August 2020 for a virtual reunion with her L.A. Law castmates. That’s a welcome surprise since she has notably kept a low profile after last starring in Third Watch in 2004. 

Lindsay Wagner, 73, Born In 1949 – The Bionic Woman

Last seen in the late 2021 movie “Christmas at the Ranch,” the small-screen legend Lindsay Wagner still does what she loves most. This accomplished actress from Los Angeles, California, is best known for portraying the superhero ‘Jaime Sommers’ (aka ‘Bionic Woman’) in a series of ’70s and ’80s productions.

Popularized by the 1976 TV series “The Bionic Woman,” Wagner went on to reprise her role as ‘Jaime Sommers’ in the ’80s spin-off flicks “The Return of the Six-Million-Dollar Man and the Bionic Woman” and “Bionic Showdown: The Six Million Dollar Man and the Bionic Woman.”

Kathryn Crosby, 89, Born In 1933 – Anatomy of a Murder

You may know her as Kathryn Grant, but she changed her name in 1957 after tying the knot with the legendary late American singer/actor Bing Crosby. A legend herself, Kathryn is a retired actress best known for her multiple appearances in classic American movies from the ’50s and ’60s.

Her role in American cinema history is guaranteed by her feature in 1959’s “Anatomy of a Murder,” starring the uncanny Jimmy Stewart and Lee Remick. Retired from acting in 2010, Kathryn was last seen in a 2014 episode of the TV series documentary “American Masters.”

Kim Novak – 90 Years Old

The Alfred Hitchcock-directed thriller Vertigo immortalized Kim Novak’s icy beauty in the minds of film lovers. Her body of work is much more than just that career-defining role, though. An in-demand leading lady, she also showed off her acting chops in films like Picnic and Pal Joey.

Scaling back on her film and TV appearances into her 30s, Novak ultimately retired from the limelight following her 1991 movie Liebestraum. Instead, she focused her attention on making art. She was last reported to be living in her Oregon ranch with her late husband Robert Malloy, whom she met through his work as a veterinarian.

Eva Marie Saint – 98 Years Old

Now 97 and among the last surviving stars of Hollywood’s Golden Age, Eva Marie Saint has a lot to be proud of looking back on her storied career. She was among Hitchcock’s muses, for one, starring in the thriller North By Northwest. Younger audiences might recognize her more for her role as Superman’s mother in the ‘00s, though.

And the Oscar-winning actress isn’t quite done yet! Despite taking a hiatus from time to time, Saint is still sharing her talents with the world. She last appeared in the 2014 film Winter’s Tale. A John Bailey-directed film she made in the ‘90s was also released in 2019.

Loni Anderson – 77 Years Old

With her charm and screen presence, Loni Anderson endeared herself to TV audiences with a role in the sitcom WKRP in Cincinnati. An actress reminiscent of past eras’ sultry blond stars, she later played the late Jayne Mansfield in a 1980 made-for-TV film for CBS.

The two-time Emmy nominee won more small-screen roles in the decades that followed. Still alive and working in her 70s, we last saw Anderson in action in a 2020 episode of the show My Sister Is So Gay. She also participated in an event called The Celebration With The Stars held at an Ohio high school in 2021.

Sue Ane Langdon – 87 Years Old

In her heydays in the ‘60s, Sue Ane Langdon starred alongside the day’s most desired leading men. She made her big-screen debut in The Great Impostor with Tony Curtis and later appeared in The Rounders with Western genre favorites Glenn Ford and Henry Fonda.

Langdon went on to work in TV and film until 1990, when fans last saw her in the direct-to-video Zapped Again! According to a 2013 interview, the Arnie star is open to returning to work again if the right role ever came. So far, it might be safe to say that part hasn’t arrived yet.

Barbara Mandrell – 74 Years Old

Country star Barbara Mandrell earned her place in the genre’s brightest stars list thanks to hits like Years and Sleeping Single In A Double Bed. An all-around performer, she also managed to find crossover success in the pop scene of the ‘70s. So, although she retired in the ‘90s, we bet many fans still remember her work fondly.

She was honored by the Grand Ole Opry in 2021 with the release of her own merchandise line that includes clothes, mugs, and posters printed with her signature song; I Was Country When Country Wasn’t Cool. Now in her 70s and still thriving, the two-time Grammy winner is living with her family in Tennessee.

Connie Booth – 82 Years Old

It’s not unheard of for celebrities to be skilled in a different career. Just look at actress Connie Booth, for example. She first gained prominence working alongside the Monty Python comedy troupe. Her main claim to fame is co-starring in and co-writing the sitcom Fawlty Towers with her former husband, John Cleese.

Booth eventually turned her back on fame in the ‘90s to focus on pursuing other endeavors. She went to school and later practiced psychotherapy in England. She last made the news in 2016 when she paid tribute to her late co-star Andrew Sachs.

Ali MacGraw – 84 Years Old

You’d be hardpressed to find an actress as in-demand as Ali MacGraw was in the ‘70s. She began the decade with Love Story, a film that netted an impressive $106 million at the box office. The Oscar-nominated actress then starred in The Getaway and Players.

Her popularity transcends the silver screen, as proven by her bestselling fitness video Yoga, Mind & Body. That said, it’s also no shock that MacGraw remains thriving into her 80s. These days, you’ll find her living in New Mexico, where she devotes her time to community service and caring for animals.

June Lockhart – 97 Years Old

June Lockhart, who some dub as America’s mom, came from a family of performers. So, it’s no surprise that she paved her own path in show business, too. She became known for her mother roles in the ‘50s show Lassie and the ‘60s sci-fi series Lost In Space.

The two-time Emmy nominee continued to act until her 90s, with her latest film being Bongee Bear And The Kingdom Of Rhythm in 2019. Lockhart worked together with other famous “Hollywood moms” in May 2021 to support the charity organization Doors Of Change, which seeks to help homeless youth.

Shirley Eaton – 86 Years Old

Shirley Eaton’s figure bathed in the gold paint will forever be etched in the memory of those who saw her in the James Bond film Goldfinger. That image is immortalized further because of her choice to retire from show business in 1969, just years after she shot to fame.

Decades later and Eaton, now 84, is still living a private life. According to a 2014 update from the Daily Express, she lives near the northern part of London and is now a widow. The Carry On films star spends her time enjoying hobbies like photography and painting.

Ann Blyth – 94 Years Old

Ann Blyth proved her place in Hollywood when she went toe-to-toe with the great Joan Crawford in the 1945 film Mildred Pierce. The role earned her an Oscar nomination for best supporting actress. An impressive feat since she was just a teen at the time!

That success opened more doors for her, and Blyth went on to star in other box office hits. Among her other notable works include Killer McCoy and The Great Caruso. She retired from the screen in the ‘80s after an appearance in Murder, She Wrote. We last saw her honored at the TCM Classic Film Festival in 2013.

Joni Mitchell – 79 Years Old

Before Taylor Swift was even born, singer-songwriter Joni Mitchell was already penning songs of heartbreak and love. She’s perhaps best known for the songs Both Sides Now, Help Me, and A Case Of You. However, those only scratch the surface of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee’s acclaimed discography.

And although it’s been a while since she’s shared new work with her fans, Mitchell, 77, has been re-releasing her albums in recent years. The year 2021, for example, saw the coming of a remastered collection of her first four records in both vinyl and CD formats.

Julie Andrews – 87 Years Old

With her crystal-clear four-octave voice and charming personality, Julie Andrews captured the hearts of audiences both young and old. A Broadway star at first, she came to prominence as a movie star with the success of Mary Poppins in 1964. The film even earned her not just an Oscar but also a Grammy at the time.

In the decades that followed, she remained a respected figure in show business. Andrews had a resurgence in the ‘00s with The Princess Diaries movies. Now in her 80s and still armed with her lovely voice, she most recently voiced a character in the 2020 series Bridgerton and currently hosts a podcast about children’s books.

Barbara Eden – 91 Years Old

Barbara Eden still manages to feel young today at the age of 90. Wonder how she does it? Well, it’s all down to taking care of herself and making it a priority, she said in a 2021 Fox interview. She also keeps signs of aging at bay using various skincare products from brands like Estée Lauder.

Safe to say, Eden is still the same stunner we saw in her fantasy sitcom I Dream Of Jeannie in the ‘60s. Younger fans might remember her best, though, from her role as Aunt Irma in the ‘90s show Sabrina The Teenage Witch.

Prunella Scales – 90 Years Old

Prunella Scales cemented her place in comedy history when she starred in John Cleese’s hit sitcom Fawlty Towers in the ‘70s. She proved her range when she was nominated for her dramatic portrayal of Queen Elizabeth II on the BBC’s Screen One in the ‘90s.

These days, though, it’s her enduring love story with her actor husband Timothy West that’s impressing TV viewers. The couple, already married for almost six decades, presented the travel program Great Canal Journeys from 2014 to 2019. Scales and West continue to travel together as of 2021, although they’ve taken a step back from hosting.

Morgan Fairchild, 71, Born In 1950 – Search for Tomorrow

The American actress Morgan Fairchild made a name for herself by appearing in the ’70s soap opera “Search for Tomorrow.” Later, she made it to “Dallas” and “Flaming Road.” While she’s mainly recognized for her work in television, Fairchild also starred in the 1982 thriller “The Seduction.”

Born in 1950, Fairchild’s still not thinking about retirement. In 2021, she made it to an episode of “Rugrats” and appeared in the TV special “Stonewall Inn Safe Spaces Concert.” Active since 1967, Fairchild landed her very first acting job in “Bonnie and Clyde,” serving as Faye Dunaway’s double.

Matthias Reim, 65, Born In 1957 – Damn, I Love You

Many music enthusiasts know Matthias Reim, the German sensation who has entertained us for decades. With hits like “Verdammt, ich lieb’ Dich” (Damn, I Love You) and “Einsamer Stern” (Lonely Star), this pop and Schlager singer knows how to get us grooving and feeling the love. He’s won numerous awards and continues to amaze us with his incredible performances.

His undeniable charm is still rocking the stage in his mid-60s, making hearts flutter, and feet tap. Matthias is the ultimate party starter, so let’s crank up the volume and dance our hearts out to his catchy tunes! Fun fact: His career began as a songwriter!

Robert Wagner, 93, Born In 1930 – Hart To Hart

It’s incredible how Robert Wagner managed to stand the test of time as an actor who began his career in the ’50s to someone who still makes it to 2021 on-screen projects. We’re talking about the documentaries titled “Forever Doris” and the “David Mirisch, the Man Behind the Golden Stars.”

Wagner has showcased his acting prowess through titles like “It Takes a Thief” and “Switch.” Later on, from 2007 to 2008, he portrayed the recurring role of Teddy Leopold in the hit series “Two and a Half Men.” He also appeared as Anthony DiNozzo Sr. on “NCIS” several times between 2010 and 2019.

Billy Dee Williams, 86, Born In 1937 – Star Wars

At just seven, Billy Dee Williams already appeared in a play called “The Firebrand of Florence.” In his teenage years, he got interested in arts, and to help him buy his material; he dipped his toes into acting once more. It was the right decision as he went on to enjoy a decades-long career.

Williams may be best known for playing Lando Calrissian in the “Star Wars” movies. Up to this day, there are no signs that he is taking a break from acting as he voiced himself in the 2020 series “Scooby-Doo and Guess Who?”

Connie Stevens, 84, Born In 1938 – Hawaiian Eye

Connie Stevens has been working in the film industry since the ’50s. That’s why when she took a break in 2016, it was well deserved. People thought she might have retired, but then she returned for one last hurrah in 2019 with a role in the film called By the Rivers of Babylon.

She rose to fame in the late ’50s and early ’60s with notable roles in TV series like 77 Sunset Strip and Hawaiian Eye. Stevens moved into film and had parts in movies like Rock-A-Bye Baby, The Party Crashers, and Tapeheads. She didn’t win many awards but does have a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Richard Keith, 72, Born In 1950 – I Love Lucy

Actor Richard Keith’s real name is Keith Thibodeaux, but he adopted the screen name because it was easier to pronounce. As a child star, he is best known as Little Ricky Ricardo in the comedy “I Love Lucy.” He also joined the show “The Lucy-Desi Comedy Hour” in the 1950s.

By the following decade, he joined the cast of “The Andy Griffith Show.” After starring as Steemson in “A Shadow in the Streets” in 1975, he resurrected in 2009 for “C Me Dance.” Unfortunately, Keith decided to work behind the scenes, and the last we heard was that he and his ballerina wife put up the Ballet Magnificat! Brazil in 2017.

Philip Michael Thomas, 74, Born In 1949 – Miami Vice

Before he became known as Ricardo Tubbs in the successful 1980s show “Miami Vice,” actor Philip Michael Thomas first made a name on Broadway, starring as “No Place to Be Somebody…” According to IMDb, music was his first passion even though he appeared in numerous plays, shows, and films.

Thomas released a few albums, including “Somebody” and “Livin’ the Book of My Life.”  He started to slow down in acting by the turn of the millennium and retired in 2011, according to TVOverMind. Unfortunately, we don’t know what he has been up to these days. 

Ralph Carter, 62, Born In 1961 – Good Times

Remember the youngest child of the husband and wife James Sr. and Florida Evans in the hit ’70s sitcom “Good Times”? It was portrayed by Ralph Carter, who has a relatively short list of his acting credits on IMDb. That’s because after he became a superstar overnight after the show, he only appeared in another project, the 1987 short “Donny’s House.”

Apparently, Carter was active in the theater community. According to a 2019 interview, he was serving as the Audience Development Committee vice president. While he became known in the world of television, he was already active in stage plays way before.

Montel Williams, 66, Born In 1956 – The Montel Williams Show

From 1991 to 2009, TV personality Montel Williams hosted his daytime talk show. On top of this, he is also an actor known for “JAG” and “All My Children.” Another money-making avenue for him is producing, including the 2020 documentary “Sky Blossom.”

The motivational speaker, who served in the military for over two decades, is also a spokesperson for an organization that pushes for reduced price or free medicine for low-income patients. About his personal life, Williams, who is outspoken about his experiences, revealed in 2020 that he once dated Vice President Kamala Harris decades ago.

O. J. Simpson, 75, Born In 1947 – The N*ked Gun: From the Files of Police Squad!

Orenthal James Simpson, better known as O.J., used to be known for his playing skills as a football player, but these days, fans frequently see his name on the news for the murder of his former wife, Nicole Brown Simpson. He was seen as a suspect in the case, but he was acquitted, which angered many people.

O.J., commonly called the “Juice,” also had a brush-in with authorities after he reportedly tried to get what he claimed were his properties, which ended with him serving jail time. These days, however, the somewhat troubled man is free and is active on social media.

Wesley Snipes, 60, Born In 1962 – Blade

Actor Wesley Snipes claims he got out of prison with a clearer mind after serving his sentence because of tax evasion. In a 2020 interview with The Guardian, he expressed his hope to become a better person when he got out. He seemed to be getting back on his feet as he starred in the shows “Paper Empire” and “True Story” in 2021 alone.

Thankfully, many people remained supportive after his sentence. Snipes’ wife, Nakyung Park, welcomed him back while celebrities like Sylvester Stallone and Eddie Murphy offered him roles.

Lorenzo Lamas, 65, Born In 1958 – Falcon Crest

 

As the son of actors Arlene Dahl and Fernando Lamas, Lorenzo Lamas was probably expected to follow in their footsteps. Because of his father’s insistence, he underwent an acting workshop and began taking on small TV roles in the ’70s. It wasn’t until the following decade before he became a household name after starring as Lance Cumson in the show “Falcon Crest.”

Fans may also recognize him in the movies “Grease” and “Body Rock.” Fast forward today, and he continues to be a star who appeared in the 2020 projects “Bleach” and “Scorpion Girl: The Awakening.”

Richard Dean Anderson, 73, Born In 1950 – MacGyver

Richard Dean Anderson initially wanted to become a hockey player, but after breaking his arms, he went on to explore acting. He entered the scene in 1977 after he was cast to play Jeff Webber in the series “General Hospital.” After starring in several shows like “Emerald Point N.A.S.” and “Seven Brides for Seven Brothers,” he landed the role of the titular character in “MacGyver,” with which he became synonymous.

Anderson remained active in the industry until 2013 when he participated in the video game “Stargate SG-1: Unleashed.” The star seemed to have turned his back into acting and is now heavily involved with the Earth Rivers Expedition.

Phoebe Cates, 59, Born In 1963 – “Fast Times at Ridgemont High”

Phoebe Cates is probably best known for her bikini-clad body for her role in the iconic ’80s teen flick “Fast Times at Ridgemont High.” Her part was described by Rolling Stone magazine as cinema’s most memorable bikini drop. It also opened doors for her, including making the cover of several teen magazines.

She would also have a role in the box office hit film “Gremlins” and return for the sequel “Gremlins 2: The New Batch.” She switched to theater, with a role in “The Nest of the Wood Grouse.” She returned to voice her Gremlins character in the “Lego Dimensions” video game in 2015 and runs a boutique in New York.

David Lee Roth, 68, Born In 1954 – “Van Halen”

While the band Van Halen was named after the iconic guitarist Eddie Van Halen and became known for his talent and distinct guitar sound. But there was another star of the show, whose energetic and athletic stage performance, along with his dextrous vocal performance, made him a rock n roll legend.

That man is David Lee Roth, and he was the original singer of the band. He left the band but rejoined in 1996 and again in 2006 for the band’s highest-grossing tour. He is also an accomplished solo artist who has released numerous gold and platinum albums. In 2021 Roth announced his retirement from music.

Greg Wise, 57, Born In 1966 – “Sense and Sensibility”

The name Sinatra is synonymous with showbiz. That’s why while Nancy Sinatra’s father Frank was making Hollywood films, she was learning the family business in piano, dance, and singing lessons. It all paid off for her in the end. Despite not being as revered as her father, she still made a mark.

And like his song, My Way, she also had a signature tune. That song is 1966’s These Boot Are Made For Walking, which peaked at number one. She also went into acting with notable parts in Marriage on the Rocks and The Wild Angels. These Boots were featured in a 2021 episode of Bless the Harts.

Mel Brooks, 96, Born In 1926 – Olympians

Like so many other patriotic Americans of his era, Mel Brooks enlisted in the Army and fought in World War II. But after getting back from the great war, the passionate musician started working the New York club scene playing the drums and piano for any group that would have him.

This was also when he worked on his screenplay writing, discovering his love for parody. This practice came perfect for classic films like Story Of The World pt1, Young Frankenstein, Spaceball, and Robin Hood: Men In Tights. His talents won him the EGOT, and he’s currently filming voice work for a 2021 film called Blazing Samurai.

Richard Simmons – 74 Years Old

The trends of the world run like a circle, and 2021 is looking like a good year for ’80s nostalgia. GQ magazine has recently reported a new demand for old dance aerobics videos, and that may help to explain why Richard Simmons’ name has once again been making headlines. The former fitness guru is experiencing a comeback at the age of 73, and his videos were even picked up by a new streaming channel called Fuse TV.

Back in the Yuppie decade, Simmons became famous for his Sweatin’ to the Oldies tapes, in which he encouraged people to exercise with loud, loud, flamboyant, and irresistible charisma.

Christopher Lloyd – 84 Years Old

Back To The Future fans were treated to an exciting reunion in August 2021, when Christopher Lloyd (Doc) met up with Michael J. Fox (Marty McFly). The co-stars got together at the Awesome Con in Washington D.C. to mark the sci-fi trilogy’s 36th anniversary.

Still alive and looking well at 82, Lloyd has been pretty busy himself since he and Fox last took a trip on the DeLorean. The Addams Family actor starred in multiple projects released in 2021, including the film Queen Bees, a rom-com set in a retirement community.

Penny Smith, 64, Born In 1958 – talkRADIO

The English TV/radio host Penny Smith is still active as of 2022, and she’s currently working in the weekday drivetime show on Scala Radio. British viewers should be very familiar with her face… and her voice. After all, she made a name for herself by working in talkRADIO and BBC Radio London, all while also collecting numerous small-screen appearances.

She began her career in the late ’70s, working in the humble Peterborough Evening Telegraph newspaper. Later on, in the ’80s, she started working as a TV personality, making it most notably to shows such as “Countdown,” “GMTV,” and “The Wright Stuff.”

Anna Kournikova, 42, Born In 1981 – Australia Open

A retired tennis legend, the Russian-born Anna Kournikova is now mainly dedicated to her family. In 2022, she made headlines after publishing a couple of pictures of the twins she shares with her partner, the Latin pop singer Enrique Iglesias. In her heyday, Kournikova made it to number one in the women’s ranking and collected impressive performances in Grand Slam competitions such as the Australia Open.

You can’t talk about cinema in the 20th century without mentioning the name of the American actor/director/producer Clint Eastwood. Chuck Norris, 83, Born In 1940 – Walker, Texas Ranger

You know him as the action hero who starred so brilliantly in the TV series “Walker, Texas Ranger.” But Norris is much more than just a movie star: he’s also a cultural icon and a living Internet meme who’s constantly satirized online (in a good way) for being strong, manly, and resolute.

A martial-arts know-it-all, Norris became famous for appearing in classic action flicks such as Bruce Lee’s “Revenge of the Dragon” and “Invasion U.S.A.” In 2021, Norris showed why so many people think of him as a real-life hero by riding a moose in a commercial for Aker, a low-carbon energy company from Norway

Charlotte Rampling – 75 Years Old

A memorable figure from the arthouse and indie film scenes of the ‘70s, Charlotte Rampling, starred in such productions as The Night Porter, Zardoz, and Farewell, My Lovely. Later on, she experienced a resurgence in her career in the ‘00s with roles in the film Angel and the TV series Dexter.

Rampling, now 75, hasn’t slowed down since. She most recently worked on the upcoming sci-fi film Dune alongside other Hollywood heavyweights. The movie is expected to premiere in both theaters and the streaming TV and movie service HBO Max in October 2021.

Bob Barker – 99 Years Old

Before Oprah Winfrey began ruling daytime TV, it was Bob Barker who audiences turned their sets on for, day in and day out. He notably hosted the popular game show The Price Is Right from 1972 to 2007, when he retired from his spot.

The 14-time Emmy winner continued to be quite active following his departure from hosting, though. In 2009, he published his autobiography Priceless Memories. And now, Barker, 97, is reminiscing about his 35 years on the air as The Price Is Right celebrates its landmark 50th season in September 2021.

Ronnie Wood – 76 Years Old

Ronnie Wood may not have been a founding member of his band The Rolling Stones, but his rock resume is still praise-worthy. A multi-instrumentalist, he has played for other acts like The Birds, Faces, and the Jeff Beck Group. What’s more, his talents have been recognized by his peers, leading to his induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Now in his 70s, Wood is still alive and kicking. Perhaps part of what’s keeping him young are his five-year-old twin daughters with his wife, Sally Humphreys. Spotted during a family outing in August 2021, he seems to be enjoying a laid-back life as a father.

Tony Bennett – 96 Years Old

It’s amazing how crooner Tony Bennett has maintained his voice throughout the years. Beginning his performing career in the ‘30s, he continued to serenade audiences with pop and jazz standards until August 2021, when he formally bowed out from the stage.

Still, his voice lives on whether in the vinyl records he released in the ‘50s or the newest album, Love For Sale, he made with Lady Gaga. There’s also the Frank Sinatra School for the Arts, which Bennett founded, to continue his work as he takes a well-deserved rest away from the spotlight.

Jacqueline White – 100 Years Old

Jacqueline White might not have reached the pinnacle of fame as an actress. But she still left an impressive body of work during her time as a contract talent for MGM and later RKO. Her most notable appearances include roles in The Show-Off, Air Raid Wardens, and the noir The Narrow Margin, which is her final film.

She seems to have turned her back from Hollywood in the early ‘50s and relocated to Wyoming with her husband, Neal Bruce Anderson. Still, White remained active in the entertainment circuit and even made an appearance at the TCM Classic Film Festival in 2013.

Caren Marsh Doll – 104 Years Old

Caren Marsh Doll has achieved what many can only dream of in their lifetime. And we’re not just talking about her stint as the iconic Judy Garland’s The Wizard Of Oz stand-in. Born in 1919, she reached the milestone age of 102 years on April 6, 2021!

Aside from her Oz connection, Doll is also known for her work in the ‘40s features Secrets Of A Sorority Girl and Navajo Kid. Her career later focused on dancing, and she went on to teach dance therapy classes at an activity center in Palm Springs.

Sam Elliott – 78 Years Old

Thanks to his enduring success, even to this day, it might be hard to picture a young Sam Elliott just starting in show business. But once upon a time, he played minor roles in ‘60s productions like The Way West and Butch Cassidy And The Sundance Kid. He gained critical acclaim in the ‘90s with the TV Western Conagher and the miniseries Buffalo Girls.

Today’s younger audiences might remember him best from his Oscar-nominated role in A Star Is Born and The Ranch, which airs on the streaming TV and movie platform Netflix. Elliott, now 77, is still alive and working as he prepares to appear in the upcoming show MacGruber.

Brigitte Bardot – 88 Years Old

Originally aspiring to be a ballerina, Brigitte Bardot shifted her sights to acting in the ‘50s and went on to become one of the era’s most enduring feminine symbols. Her actings chops and trademark tousled hairstyle shined in such films as And God Created Woman, Viva Maria!, and Le Mépris.

She retired from show business in 1973 and focused her attention on her work in animal welfare. Bardot then founded her eponymous foundation in the ‘80s to assist in her mission. The Bubble Gum singer remains steadfast to her cause to this day, most recently expressing her opposition to hunting practices in 2021.

Meredith Baxter – 75 Years Old

Meredith Baxter has been enjoying a successful career in TV for about five decades now. The three-time Emmy nominee first gained prominence when she co-starred in the ‘70s show Bridget Loves Bernie. She then followed that up with two more sitcoms, Family and Family Ties.

Baxter went on to have a big family having five children herself. Now in her 70s, she’s still doing well and even recently appeared in the 2020 film Christmas On The Vine. Before that, she had recurring roles in the TV shows Finding Carter and The Young And The Restless.

Gary Burghoff – 80 Years Old

It’s been a while since we last saw the charming Gary Burghoff in action. In fact, his last credited role in the 2010 film Daniel’s Lot is now over a decade old. Not that the Emmy-winning actor has got a lot left to prove. His current acting resume is impressive enough as it is!

For starters, he starred in both the film and TV series versions of M*A*S*H. Theater fans would also know him as the performer who originated the role of Charlie Brown in the musical You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown. Now in his late 70s, Burghoff certainly deserves to live a comfortable retirement.

Jane Fonda – 85 Years Old

Jane Fonda’s longevity in show business is something to be admired. Starting her quest for stardom in the ‘60s, the Barbarella actress later overcame being in the shadow of her father, Henry Fonda’s fame, to carve a path of her own in Hollywood.

A two-time Oscar winner, she also managed to branch out into making bestselling exercise videos in the ‘80s. At 83, it seems like Fonda has done it all! She’s not quite done yet, though. Along with Lily Tomlin, she’s set to return for the much-loved sitcom Grace & Frankie’s upcoming final season.

William Shatner – 92 Years Old

William Shatner is proving that age is truly just a number at 90. After cementing his place in entertainment history with his work in the Star Trek franchise, he’s still putting his iconic voice to good use. He is preparing to release a spoken word album titled Bill in September 2021. And guess what? It also features Joe Jonas!

Of course, the captain of the Enterprise also has something new for fans of his acting. He just starred in the romantic movie Senior Moment, in which he plays a down on his luck retired pilot and sports car enthusiast.

Alan Alda – 87 Years Old

One comedic talent who shined on the show M*A*S*H is six-time Emmy winner Alan Alda. A skilled actor and director, he is also known for his silver screen features like The Aviator, Bridge Of Spies, and Marriage Story.

Alda, who’s still alive and thriving in his 80s, most recently appeared in episodes of Ray Donovan in 2020. When he’s not working, though, you’ll probably find him at home with his wife of 64 years, Arlene. The pair met while they were students at Hunter College and have been inseparable since.

Judd Hirsch – 88 Years Old

Judd Hirsch became a household name in the late ‘70s thanks to his role in the sitcom Taxi. That stint earned him not just fame but also critical acclaim, as he bagged two Primetime Emmy wins, both for Outstanding Lead Actor. He’s also an Oscar-nominated performer for his performance in the 1980 film Ordinary People.

Hirsch is not quite done with entertaining people yet, though. He last appeared in the TV series The Goldbergs in 2021. We heard he’s also been busy managing his real estate collection as his sprawling 77-acre Hudson Valley home is currently on the market.

Ted Lange – 75 Years Old

As a comedian, Ted Lange is perhaps best remembered for his role as a bartender in The Love Boat. What many might not know, though, is that he’s just as skilled working behind the camera as he is acting in front of it.

He’s an accomplished director with dozens of credits to his name. In fact, he actually helmed several episodes of The Love Boat. And although already in his 70s, Lange continues to do what he loves. He most recently directed a short feature called Think Twice and starred in the supernatural comedy film Blood Pageant in 2021.

Mike Farrell – 84 Years Old

Mike Farrell has appeared in his fair share of popular TV shows. Still, his claim to fame remains his stint playing Captain B.J. Hunnicutt in the comedy-drama series M*A*S*H. After all, that role did earn him two Primetime Emmy nominations.

He is also known for being part of the ensemble cast of the medical drama Providence in the early ‘00s. Most recently, Farrell, 82, appeared as a judge in two episodes of NCIS in 2019. He has also become an outspoken figure on elder care, even presenting at industry meetings from time to time.

Marla Gibbs – 92 Years Old

Marla Gibbs, 90, finally got her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in July 2021. The recognition comes almost five decades after she first appeared in the CBS sitcom The Jeffersons in the ‘70s. She didn’t appear to mind the long wait, though, and even said that she hasn’t been as excited until the moment her star was unveiled.

But while she can now rest assured that she’s left her mark, Gibbs is still hard at work today. She currently has a recurring role in the daytime soap opera Days Of Our Lives. She’s also expected to star in the upcoming film Bromates.

Jamie Farr – 88 Years Old

True Jamie Farr fans would know why he’s dressed in women’s clothes in the photo on the left. See, he was just in character for his role in the CBS sitcom M*A*S*H! That stint opened more doors for him in Hollywood, and he later starred in the Cannonball Run films.

Farr most recently appeared in the TV series The Cool Kids in 2019. He was scheduled to appear alongside the late Ed Asner in a Flat Rock Playhouse production in September 2021. The performance has since been canceled following Asner’s untimely passing.

Marion Ross – 94 Years Old

It’s been years since Marion Ross retired from acting, but people still remember her and her work fondly. In July 2021, the Happy Days star returned to her Minnesota hometown to see a life-size bronze sculpture honoring her being unveiled. Ross was understandably ecstatic about the entire event and returning to the place where she grew up.

Aside from her stint as matriarch Marion Cunningham in the ABC sitcom, Ross is also known for her later performances in other popular shows. She had recurring roles in Gilmore Girls and The Drew Carey show. Not to mention the voice work she did for the popular animated series SpongeBob SquarePants.

Paul Hogan – 83 Years Old

 

Paul Hogan hit it big when his 1986 comedy film Crocodile Dundee turned him into an international star. What’s more, he won a Golden Globe and was nominated for an Oscar for the adventure movie. That’s a kind of breakthrough performance that rivals Sylvester Stallone’s Rocky!

That said, we’re happy to see that he revisited his Mick Dundee the crocodile hunter persona, in 2020 with the release of The Very Excellent Mr. Dundee. It demonstrated that Hogan still has the wit and charm to make audiences laugh as he enters his early 80s.

Mickey Rourke, 70 , Born in 1952 – The Wrestler

One of the hottest actors of the ’80s, Mickey Rourke, gained fame for his roles in films like Diner Rumble Fish and 9 1/2 Weeks. But he abruptly quit acting and became a professional boxer in the ’90s going back to his pre-acting roots.

He never lost a match, but he returned to acting, although looking worse for wear. He had some face damage due and tried to fix it with cosmetic surgery, but it just made it worse. But he still got acting roles, though, and even won a Golden Globe for the film The Wrestler. Rourke is set to star in a 2021 film called The Seeding.

Shirley Jones – 89 Years Old

Armed with her sunny disposition and lovely singing voice, Shirley Jones took Broadway and Hollywood by storm in the ‘50s. She notably starred in the musical films Oklahoma!, Carousel, and The Music Man. However, nothing still beats her time playing the matriarch in The Partridge Family.

Her role as Shirley Partridge cemented her as a pop culture icon. What’s more, it ensured her a steady stream of work for the decades that followed. Still alive and working in her 80s, we last saw Jones in the 2021 film Bruce The Challenge. And just like her TV persona, she’s now a matriarch to a large family with 13 grandchildren.

Terry Moore – 94 Years Old

A star from Hollywood’s Golden Age, Terry Moore made her screen debut at just 11. Not surprising, since she was raised in Los Angeles! Sometimes working under different names, she starred in films like Mighty Joe Young and Come Back, Little Sheba, for which she was nominated for an Oscar.

Her later career is largely spent in small-screen roles, with her latest credit being the titular character in a short feature called Evie Rose in 2021. At the moment, she’s anticipating the release of her film Silent Life. Safe to say, Moore remains a hard worker into her 90s!

Cliff Richard, 82, Born In 1940 – Move It

Cliff Richard is so legendary that even the legendary John Lennon lauded him as the best thing to happen to British music. This was thanks to his first single, Move It, that was released in 1958 and debuted at number 2 on the UK charts.

His musical ability is even more proven because he has sold over 250 million records worldwide. Despite being lauded by Lennon, Richard was still behind him and the Beatles in terms of sales in Britain, coming in third, with Elvis Presley ahead of him too. He is currently filming a documentary called One More Time.

Diana Ross, 79, Born in 1944 – Supertonic: Mixes

Being an icon is one thing, but Diana Ross has also made some timeless classics that will keep her relevant for a very long time. She also did this for her group, The Supremes, becoming the best charting female group of all time with 12 number one singles.

She also did it as a solo act, creating some memorable hits, including Ain’t No Mountain High Enough, Touch Me in the Morning, Upside Down, and Endless Love. She also earned a Golden Globe and Oscar nomination for her role in the film Lady Sings the Blues. She is set to release her 25th album, titled Thank You, in September 2021.

Robert De Niro, 79, Born In 1943, The War With Grandpa

Here’s the thing about Robert De Niro. The guy has made many great movies in so many different genres that everyone has a favorite movie starring him. It’s also tough to choose the best one from a catalog that includes taxi driver, The Godfather 2, Raging Bull, and Analyze This.

He also has awards to go with his reputation, with a trophy cabinet holding two Oscars, a Golden Globe, and a Cecil B Demille Award. He also has half a billion dollars in the bank and can retire happily. But instead of doing that, he is up to star in a 2022 film called Wash Me in the River.

Petula Clark, 90 , Born In 1932 – Downtown

Petula Clarke is one of the few singers who has broken language barriers and created songs in several languages. These include English, German, French and Spanish songs. It’s in English that the British songstress made some of her biggest hits.

These include timeless classics like Downtown, I Know a Place, Colour My World, and Kiss Me Goodbye. She has been in the music industry since the age of seven and during World War II, performed via radio broadcast to troops all across Europe. She has sold over 68 million albums in her career, and in 2021 she appeared in an episode of The One Show.

Paul Michael Glaser – 80 Years Old

 

Paul Michael Glaser shot to fame in the ‘70s as the other half of the Starsky & Hutch duo. Together with his onscreen partner David Soul, he entertained millions of viewers worldwide for four seasons and a movie, which was released in 2004.

Following that stint, Glaser starred in a long list of small-screen productions, including a recurring role in Ray Donovan. He last appeared in the Showtime crime drama in 2019. Now in his late 70s, he has also found success in the art world, launching his website, PMGlaserART, in 2020 to sell his works.

 Gladys Knight, 79, Born In 1944 – Just A Little

Gladys Knight, aka the Empress of Soul, built an evergreen back catalog of tracks. During her heyday in the ’60s, ’70s, and ’80s, her powerful vocal range and sincere delivery made hits of songs like Midnight Train To Georgia and That’s What Friends Are For.

She started in the band Gladys Knight & the Pips with her brother Merald “Bubba” Knight and cousins William Guest and Edward Patten. She has won seven Grammy Awards and sang the theme song for the James bond movie License To Kill. In 2021 she played herself in the film Coming2America.

Cheryl Tiegs, 75, Born In 1947 – Cambria

Cheryl Tiegs is renowned for two things. Being a regular in the Sports Illustrated Swimwear Edition and an iconic centerfold poster in a pink bikini. The former proved how popular she was, while the latter made her a symbol of the ’70s American pop culture.

She was also a popular cover girl who made the cover of Vogue and Seventeen. She also started a clothing line in collaboration with Sears, which was also the first fashion deal between a model and a retailer. She was also featured on The Celebrity Apprentice and had a recurring role on Family Guy. She last featured in a 2020 documentary called Art Be Damned!

 Glynis Johns, 99, Born In 1923 – Superstar

Glynis Johns was so creative she literally created a character for a play called A Little Night Music. The character was named Desiree Armfeldt, and John’s played her so well that she ended winning a Tony Award. Born in South Africa, she is also renowned for other film roles.

She had the role of Winifred banks in the 1964 Mary Poppins and also earned an Oscar nomination for her role in the 1960 film The Sundowners. She is currently the oldest living Oscar nominee after Olivia De Havilland passed away in 2020.

Kathy Garver, 77, Born in 1945 – TV Therapy

Kathy Garver shot to fame thanks to her part in the show 1960’s sitcom Family Affair. She played Catherine “Cissy” Davis, an orphaned teenager, and before that, she was cast in the Cecil B DeMille film The Ten Commandments. Although she has an acting pedigree, she is more prolific as a voice actor.

She is most notable for providing the voice to Firestar Spider-Man and his Amazing Friends. She has also authored several books, including The Family Affair Cookbook, Surviving Cissy: My Family Affair of Life in Hollywood, and X Child Stars: Where are They Now? She is currently filming a 2021 movie called Old Man Jackson.

Jamie Donnelly, 76, Born In 1947 – Grease

Jamie Donnely is most famous for her role in Grease playing Jan. Don’t know who we’re talking about? She’s the one that sings the Brusha, Brusha, Brusha song with the TV ad in the sleepover scene. But did you know that she was 33 and had to dye her grey hair for the part?

Like John Travolta and Jeff Conaway, she came straight from the Broadway production of Grease. But, unlike them, she played the same character in the film that she did on stage. She also had episodic roles in the Six Million Dollar Man and, more recently, Ray Donovan. She last worked on a 2020 film called Souvenirs.

José Mayer, 73, Born In 1949 – Wounded Past

José Mayer is a Brazilian actor renowned for his leading man status in Brazilian series and telenovelas and has also dabbled in film. He won the best newcomer prize at the APCA Award and is gained fame for his part in the popular production O Pagador de Promessas.

Some of his major TV roles include The Lady from the Shanghai Cinema, Perfume de Gardênia, and A Lei do Amor in 2016. He was suspended from working with the free-to-air station TV Globo after he was accused of indecent assault by a wardrobe artist. His last appearance was in a show called A Lei do Amor.

Ron Perlman, 73, Born In 1950 – Hellboy

Ron Perlman is an evergreen actor who has been around the block a few times. His most iconic role was as Hellboy in the original film series: Hellboy and The Golden Army. In modern days he also made a mark playing Clay Morrow, a major character in the series Sons of Anarchy.

He is also a table voice actor, and his roles include Clayface from the Batman animated films, Slade in Teen Titans, and Lich in Adventure Time. He also has a role in the 2020 film Monster Hunter currently available on Netflix and also has a role in the 2021 film Pinocchio.

Joel Higgins, 79, Born in 1943 – Best of the West

Joel Higgins was quite intent on becoming an actor. He even performed to pay his way through his college years at Michigan State University. But it wasn’t acting that he studied. Instead, it was advertising, and after earning his degree, he worked at General Motors for six months.

But due to his passion for acting, he quit that job and moved to Europe to work the acting scene. He also enlisted in the U.S. Army and was put in charge of entertainment while serving. Some of his most prominent productions include Grease on stage and the sitcom Best of the West, in which he was the main character.

Barbara Minty, Aka Barbara Minty McQueen, is a model and photographer. But she is probably best known for being married to the Hollywood icon, Steve McQueen. Not that they were married very long, because the same year they married, 1980, was the year that McQueen passed away.

Minty made her name modeling and featured in an array of advertisements and also magazine covers. But it was from an advertisement that McQueen saw her photo in 1979, and they started dating and got married in January 1980. She featured in the thanks of a recent documentary about her late husband called The Conversion of Steve McQueen.

Kris Kristofferson, 86, Born In 1936 – The Highwaymen

To the modern audience, Kris Kristofferson is best known for playing Whistler in the first two movies of the Blade series. But he is also a legend of the country music scene and is one of the major players in the Outlaw Country sub-genre with other legends like Willie Nelson, Johnny Cash, and Waylon Jennings.

Notable songs include Sunday Mornin’ Comin’ Down and For the Good Times. He has three Grammy Awards, and his other acting credits include 1974’s Alice Doesn’t Live Here Anymore and the 1976 version of A Star Is Born. He is currently filming a documentary called Behind Our Eyes: the Human Cost of War.

Kate Jackson, 74, Born In 1948 – Charlie’s Angels

Kate Jackson may no longer be active in the industry, but the actress was a busy woman when she was. Known for being both an actress and producer, she has had parts in prominent films and shows. Most notable of these was her role in the iconic ’70s shows Charlie’s Angels.

She starred in that show from 1976 to 79 and also had a major role in the series Scarecrow and Mrs. King. Her film roles include Night of Dark Shadows, and she also starred in 1973’s Satan’s School for Girls and its 2000 remake. She retired in 2007 but last appeared in a 2009 documentary called Farrah’s Story.

Jon Voight, 84, Born In 1938 – Coming Home

Besides his contribution to Hollywood as an actor, Jon Voight is also renowned for his contribution as a father. He gave the world one of its most beautiful women in Angelina Jolie. While everyone is thankful for that, he also bestowed her with his acting talents, as can be seen by his array of major roles and Awards.

This includes an Oscar-winning performance in the 1978 film Coming Home. Other major films include 1979’s The Champ and Deliverance, which was released in 1972. He also had a role in the ’90s cult favorites like Anaconda, Mission Impossible, and Heat. He is st to star in the 2022 film Reagan.

Ryan O’Neal, 82, Born In 1941 – Peyton Place

Before Mickey Rourke, there was Ryan O’Neal, an amateur boxer who left the sport to become an actor. Unlike Rourke, though, O’Neal didn’t return to the ring. Instead, he built a career that saw him appear in some respected and popular TV shows and feature films.

His film breakthrough came in the movie Love Story opposite Ali McGraw. He earned an Oscar and Golden Globe nomination for his performance and continued his popularity in the ’70s with roles in What’s Up, Doc? Paper Moon, and A Bridge Too Far. Michael Caine, 90 , Born In 1933 – The Dark Knight Series

Renowned as one of the greatest cockney actors in Hollywood history, Sir Michael Caine is also one of the greatest supporting actors. He has been starring in blockbuster films for his entire six-decade career, which includes starring roles in Alfie and the 1969 film The Italian Job.

Along with Laurence Olivier, Paul Newman, and Jack Nicholson, he has been nominated for an acting Oscar in five different decades. One of those nominations turned into a win in 1983 for his role in the film Hannah and Her Sister. He is also famous for playing Alfred Pennyworth in the Dark Knight series and starred in the 2021 film Best Sellers.

Timothy Dalton, 77, Born In 1946 – License to Kill

Timothy Dalton got his first big film break in a 1966 film called The Lion in Winter. He also had appearances in films like Flash Gordon, but he really gained fame when he became the fourth actor to play James Bond. He had two movies in the franchise, The Living Daylights and License to Kill.

This gave him the springboard to other roles in films like The Rocketeer and Scarlett. While he continued to get parts in the 2000s with films Looney Tunes: Back in Action and The Tourist, he faded a bit. But he had a resurrection with leading parts in series like Penny Dreadful and, more recently, Doom Patrol, which he is set to star in again in 2021.

David Soul, 79, Born In 1943 – Starsky & Hutch

 

David Soul had quite a remarkable career to date. He is renowned for his roles in several popular TV series, most notably Starsky & Hutch from 1975 to 1979 and before that a comedy series called Here Come the Brides from 1968 to 1970.

He developed a skill for having parts in police dramas and was also cast in the second Dirty Harry film, Magnum Force. Over and above this, he is also a musician and scored a number one hit with the song Here Come the Brides from 1968 to 1970. He is currently filming a documentary called Cuban Soul.

Kathleen Turner, 69, Born In 1954 – Wizards

The beautiful Kathleen Turner is renowned for pushing her ability to the maximum with every character she plays. This is evident in some of her early films, which include Body Heat, Romancing the Stone, and The Jewel of The Nile. Besides her acting skills, she is also renowned for her longevity in the industry.

She has been working the scene for four decades and has continuously landed roles in blockbusters films. She also does voice acting and is renowned for voicing another popular female character in Jessica Rabbit, from Who Framed Roger Rabbit. She is currently filming on a series called The White House Plumbers.

Johnny Mathis, 87, Born In 1935 – Grammy Hall of Fame

Calling all fans of vintage music. If this is your thing, then you’ve probably had a listen to Johnny Mathis and his timeless classics. The pop singer is renowned for his romantic songs and discography made up of a range of different genres.

He has also been inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame three times. In 2021 he was featured in a documentary called David Mirisch, the Man Behind the Golden Stars.

Lex Luger, 65, Born In 1958 – World’s Heavyweight Champion

Any ’90s wrestling fans are bound to remember the inspirational Lex Luger. He was one of the most popular performers of the era and was one of the most in-demand wrestlers. He even worked for every wrestling promotion, including WCW, WWE, ECW, and Davie Crocket Promotion.

His initial break in the WWE (then WWF) was as the replacement for Hulk Hogan. He came in as an all-American character meant to inspire patriotism. Luger is also a multi-time tag team champion and the World Heavyweight Champion. He isn’t as buffed up as he used to be but recently appeared in a documentary called Biography: WWE Legends.

Gene Hackman, 93, Born In 1930 – The French Connection

Some people may think that Gene Hackman fell off the face of the earth. But he actually just retired in 2017 after narrating a documentary called We, the Marines. He has been focusing on his writing and has actually published a few novels, such as Pursuit and Justice for None.

It’s as an actor that he is best remembered, although his writing passion probably stems from his qualification as a journalist. He is best known for films like Bonnie and Clyde, The French Connection, and the western Unforgiven. He also gained fame for playing Lex Luthor, Superman’s arch-enemy. His last acting job was in 2004’s Welcome to Mooseport.

Steven Seagal, 71 , Born In 1952 – Beyond The Law

Steven Seagal is one of the few movie stars who are actually as dangerous as the characters he plays. This is because he is actually a high-level martial artist who specializes in aikido. He is also rumored to be the first non-Asian to open a dojo in Japan.

That’s why, besides his movies like under Siege and Out for Justice, he also had a reality show called Steven Seagal: Lawman. Neil Diamond, 82, Born In 1941 – Hot August Night III

Neil Diamond is a musical great. Just ask Howard Wolowitz and Amy Farrah Fowler, who spent most of season seven episode three of Bing Bang Theory singing his songs in the car. But pop culture references aside, he has also sold 100 million albums worldwide and created 10 Number one songs on the Billboard Hot 100.

His biggest hits include Sweet Caroline, You Don’t Give Me flowers, and America. But just scratched the surface of it. Diamond may have retired in 2018, but he was inducted into the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame in 2019. He last appeared in a 2020 episode of Celebrity Page.

Richard Dreyfuss, 75, Born In 1947 – Jaws

Richard Dreyfuss doesn’t just act; he plays memorable roles. Like he did in the cult classic horror flick Jaws playing quirky marine biologist Hooper. He had a string of memorable roles throughout the ”70s and ’80s, which was arguably his most prolific period as an actor.

Some of his other notable works include American Graffiti, Close Encounters of the Third Kind, and Stand by Me. He even won an Oscar for his performance The Goodbye Girl and had another Oscar-nominated performance for Mr. Holland’s Opus. He is set for a role in a 2021 film called Every Last One of Them.

Jerry Mathers, 75, Born in 1948 – Lucky Day

Before Macaulay Culkin and the Olsen twins changed the way child stars were viewed, Jerry Mathers was the standard-bearer as a male child star. He was renowned for playing Theodore “Beaver” Cleaver in the classic American sitcom Leave It To Beaver. He starred in the show from 1957 to 1963 and became a household name.

The character was so endearing to fans that the series had a resurrection in the ’80s, with Mathers among other cast members to returned to the show. Although he had other small film roles like This Is My Love and Trouble with Harry. He was recently featured in the 2021 episode of Creature Features.

Warren Beatty, 86, Born In 1937 – Rules Don’t Apply

Warren Beatty was a bit of a heartbreaker in his heyday. While he has been a hit with the ladies, he is more than a pretty face. He was nominated for 15 Oscars, one of which he won for directing the film Red.

He is also one of only two people to be nominated for acting, directing, writing, and producing a film. Some of his notable acting credits are for films such as Bonny & Clyde, Shampoo, and Dick Tracy. He also wrote, produced, directed, and starred in the 2016 film Rules Don’t Apply and, in 2021, featured in The Hollywood Moment at Home Edition 2020.

Dolores Hart – 84 Years Old

Dolores Hart’s career took a turn no one saw coming. After reaching leading lady status in Hollywood and acting alongside Elvis Presley, she turned away from fame to pursue a simpler life in a Connecticut monastery. The Loving You star remains living there now that she’s in her 80s.

Eileen Atkins – 89 Years Old

A talented actress and screenwriter, Eileen Atkins is a veteran of both the screen and the stage. The four-time Tony Award winner is perhaps best remembered by audiences from her performance in the series Cranford. Dedicated fans would also know her from her work in Upstairs, Downstairs, and The House of Eliott.

Atkins’ dramatic chops proved useful in The Crown in more recent years, where she played Queen Mary. Next up for her is a memoir set to be published in October 2021. That said, we’re going to be waiting to see her writing on bestselling books lists soon.

Max Baer Jr., 85, Born In 1937 – The Beverly Hillbillies

Max Baer Jr. is in his 80s and has long left the acting scene since his last project, a TV series titled “Murder, She Wrote,“ in 1991. This is according to his IMDb page, but this star will always be known for his portrayal of  Jethro Bodine in the comedy show “The Beverly Hillbillies.”

Baer Jr., who also delved into producing and directing, was left as the only surviving member of the CBS sitcom after Donna Douglas died in 2015, at 82 years old. He showed great interest in sports and became a professional golfer who participated in a few tournaments in California.

Dick Van Dyke, 97, Born In 1925 – The Dick Van Dyke Show

With his great charm and amazing comedic timing, Dick Van Dyke experienced massive fame with “The Dick Van Dyke Show,” which aired between 1961 and 1966. After that, he continued to have a glorious career that has spanned over 70 years.
Van Dyke was born to be an entertainer and worked on radio, television, and even Broadway. He has five Primetime Emmys, a Grammy, and a Tony  Award. He got to participate in the 2018 version of “Mary Poppins,” which is a feat considering he was in the 1964 Walt Disney classic.

George Hamilton, 83, Born In 1939 – The Godfather Part III

At 82, George Hamilton is still acting. He was part of the TV show “American Housewife” from 2017 to 2019 and became a guest on “Good Morning Britain” the following year. Of course, movie buffs love Hamilton for his projects such as “Home from the Hill (1960),” “Once Is Not Enough (1975),” and “The Godfather Part III (1990).”

For his debut performance in 1959’s “Crime and Punishment U.S.A.,” Hamilton bagged a Golden Globe Award and got a nod from the BAFTA Awards. The father of two is the dad of Ashley Hamilton, an actor and singer-songwriter.

Jack Nicholson, 86, Born In 1937 – The Shining

Jack Nicholson may have already retired since 2010, when he last acted on the film “How Do You Know,” but he is still a renowned star and was even featured on “Hollywood Insider” in 2021. His career in the acting industry lasted for five decades and saw him play diverse roles, from comical characters and romantic leading men to villains and anti-heroes.

Nicholson’s big break was on the 1969 counterculture movie “Easy Rider.” However, he really became a household name upon starring in director Stanley Kubrick’s 1980 horror classic “The Shining,” based on the Stephen King novel.

Michael Richards, 73, Born In 1949 – Seinfeld

Michael Richards began to carve out his career by joining Billy Crystal’s first cable TV special. He then appeared in famous shows like “Fridays” and “Cheers.” He was also in movies such as “UHF” and “Coneheads.” Still, the sitcom “Seinfeld” was what made him a name known by many.

After playing kooky next-door neighbor Cosmo Kramer from 1989 to 1998, which was when “Seinfeld” ended, Richards was granted his own show titled “The Michael Richards Show.” Unfortunately, the sitcom got canceled after merely eight weeks. We last saw Richards acting in the 2019 film “Faith, Hope & Love.”

Sophia Loren, 88, Born In 1934 – Human Voice

During the golden age of Hollywood, Sophia Loren could have got by on her looks alone and landed some pretty decent roles and made some money. But she isn’t made that way and instead puts all of her talents into her acting career.

The result was many awards, including becoming the first person to win the Best Actress Oscar for a foreign language film. This was for the movie Two Women. She also won a Grammy, a BAFTA, and five Golden Globe Awards for other films like The Pride and The Passion and It Started in Naples. In 2021 she featured in a documentary called Morceaux de Cannes.

Cristina Saralegui, 75, Born In 1948 – El Show de Cristina

The Cuban-born American journalist Cristina Saralegui is one of the best-known Spanish-language broadcasters in the United States. Last seen in the documentary “Manny Santana – Tu Amigo y Tu Pana Icono de la comunicación,” she was mainly popularized for her work in “El Show de Cristina.” She interviewed Shakira, Julio Iglesias, Ricky Martin, and many others.

Active since 1973, Saralegui also worked briefly as an actress, making it to the TV series “George Lopez.” Before starting her career in television, Saralegui worked as a magazine editor. She was put in charge of the Spanish version of Cosmopolitan not long after completing her education at the University of Miami.

Joyce DeWitt, 74, Born In 1949 – The Savant

Joyce DeWitt is one of the few people on this list who can claim to be popular with adults and kids… kind of. She gained some recognition for having a role as herself in the popular kids’ animated series Pinky and The Brain. They even drew her like one of the characters.

But her real fame comes from her time on the timeless classic sitcom Three’s Company, which she stayed on until the show ended in 1984. She retired from acting in 1991 but eventually returned for the 1995 film Spring Fling. In 2021 she featured in the documentary Broadway: Beyond the Golden Age.
