Kenny Rogers was a well-known country singer who also experienced success as a businessman. He had five marriages in his lifetime, one of whom was with actress Marianne Gordon. She was his fourth wife, and they were married from 1977 until 1993.

They enjoyed their time together while it lasted, and the best product of their love was their one and only child. Since Rogers was a multi-millionaire, he reportedly paid her around $60 million in the settlement. He passed away due to natural causes in 2020, and he was married to Wanda Miller at that time.

Reba Mcentire & Narvel Blackstock – Settlement: Reported $47.5 Million

Reba McEntire fell in love with music ever since she was a young girl, and she later established herself as a bestselling country star. Narvel Blackstock managed her, and it looks like the two ultimately fell in love. They tied the knot in 1989, but by 2015, they had already decided to call it quits.

The former couple shares a son, and she also became the stepmom to his three kids. Once they finalized their divorce papers, she reportedly gave him around $47.5 million. McEntire is back to being off the market these days because she has been in a relationship with Rex Linn since 2020.

Jane Fonda & Richard Perry – Settlement: Never Married

Jane Fonda is a multi-awarded actress who had memorable performances in films like Klute and Coming Home. She also had relationships that didn’t reach a wedding, the one she had with music producer Richard Perry for example.

Madonna is yet another successful woman who couldn’t find herself a lasting marriage. Guy Ritchie was her second ex-husband, and they were married for eight years. They had one biological son together, and then they adopted another baby from Malawi in 2006.

She ended up filing for divorce in 2008 due to irreconcilable differences, and reports say he took home between $76-92 million in the settlement. It looks like Madonna isn’t rushing to get married again, and she’s enjoying all the fun she’s having with her current boyfriend, Ahlamalik Williams.

Neil Diamond & Marcia Murphey – Settlement: Reported $150 Million

Neil Diamond made millions from his career as a singer, and some of his biggest hits were I’ve Been This Way Before and Song Sung Blue. Despite his wealth, he didn’t find the need to get a prenup when he tied the knot with Marcia Murphey. Their marriage lasted for 17 years, and they had two sons together.

He revealed that he caused their breakup, and even if they never disclosed the exact sum of their settlement, sources estimate it to be somewhere around $150 million. Neil’s life journey will get turned into a musical that will hit the stage in Boston sometime in 2022.

Lionel Richie had his first taste of fame with the Commodores before rising to fame as a solo artist in the ’80s. The most famous songs he released were You Are, My Love, and Truly. He was once married to Diane Alexander, the same woman his ex-wife Brenda Harvey caught him with back in 1988.

Their marriage lasted for nine years, and they have two kids together. Alexander had the last laugh when they ended things because she received around $20 million from the settlement. Richie remains famous today, mainly because he has been a judge on American Idol since 2018.

Adele & Simon Konecki – Settlement: Reported $90 Million

Many of you first heard of Adele when she released her first album titled 19 in 2008. It propelled her into fame, and she has won six Grammy Awards so far. She always sings about love, and it looks like she will have more inspiration to write heartbreak songs because she and Simon Konecki divorced in 2021.

They didn’t go public with monetary details, but reports suggest he could get as much as $90 million. The ex-couple has one son who was born four years before they became a married couple. Adele has a new album in the works, but she hasn’t announced its release date yet.

Phil Collins & Orianne Cevey – Settlement: Reported $46.7 Million

Phil Collins had a fruitful career with his band named Genesis. They had tours in different countries, and during one of their tour dates in Switzerland during the ’90s, he crossed paths with Orianne Cevey. Sources say that she worked as his translator at that time.

They got married in 1999 and have two kids together. In 2006, they got divorced, and the money she walked away with reportedly reached a whopping $46.7 million. Collins and Cevey reconciled in 2016, but he ended it for good in 2020 when he discovered she had a secret husband.

Marc Anthony & Shannon De Lima – Settlement: Reported $10k/Month Over 3 Years

Marc Anthony didn’t only have the looks; he also had the golden voice to match it. He’s a successful singer who won six Latin Grammy Awards and three Grammy Awards. Unfortunately, he experienced three failed marriages in his life, and his most recent ex-wife was Shannon De Lima.

The world got to know of Matt Lauer because he served as a longtime host of Today on NBC. Two years later, Annette Roque, his wife of 21 years, divorced him.

Roque confessed that the divorce was a long time coming due to Lauer’s notorious behavior. It was revealed that he paid her a sum of $20 million as a settlement while they both agreed on joint custody of their children. Since his abrupt exit from NBC, Lauer hasn’t had much luck in terms of work.

Mel Gibson & Robyn Moore – Settlement: Reported $425 Million

Before Mel Gibson became famous for starring in Mad Max and Lethal Weapon, he was a struggling actor in the ’70s. During that period, he met Robyn Moore, who was a dental nurse then. The pair married in 1980, but unfortunately, they separated in 2006 due to Gibson’s unfaithfulness and controversial reputation. Their divorce was finalized in 2011.

Moore’s settlement was reportedly worth a massive $425 million, half of her ex-husband’s fortune. Gibson found a way to get back on track after the incident. He is currently involved with at least nine upcoming movies, including Panama and Last Looks.

Elin Nordegren & Tiger Woods – Settlement: Reported $100 Million

Tiger Woods’ separation from Elin Nordegren was one of the most famous in history. The man whom some call the world’s greatest golfer admitted to multiple accounts of unfaithfulness in 2009. This subsequently led to a breakdown of his career and marriage.

His ex, Nordegren, walked away with $100 million from the divorce settlement in 2010. While the two agreed on child custody, she also received $20,000 in child support. Woods has since bounced back from the career setback. However, he has taken a break from golfing in 2021 due to complications.

Michael Douglas & Diandra Luker – Settlement: Reported $45 Million

Academy Award-winning actor Michael Douglas is famous for his role in movies like Romancing the Stone and Fatal Attraction. He also became famous for being involved in one of the most expensive breakups in Hollywood history. His ex-wife, Diandra Luker, whom he married when she was 19, divorced him in 1995.

She received up to $45 million and some real estate as part of the settlement. Douglas, meanwhile, has married Catherine Zeta-Jones since then and is now enjoying a fruitful career. His most famous role in recent years is that of Dr. Hank Pym in the Marvel franchise. He’ll be reprising it in the upcoming Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania.

Arnold Schwarzenegger & Maria Shriver – Settlement: Reported $200 Million

Even movie stars like Arnold Schwarzenegger have made their own personal mistakes. Before he married Maria Shriver in 1986, The Terminator star had been in several failed relationships. His marriage to Shriver didn’t last, too, and she ended up filing for divorce in 2011.

The split still hasn’t been finalized, but in such an event, Shriver would walk away with half of the reported $400 million fortune she shared with her ex due to the lack of a prenup agreement. Despite his less-than-perfect personal life, Schwarzenegger’s career has been glorious. He’s still going strong at age 74 and is part of Kung Fury 2, releasing in 2022.

Harrison Ford & Melissa Mathison – Settlement: Reported $85 Million

Not only is Harrison Ford an Oscar nominee, but he’s also one of the highest-grossing actors in history. The Indiana Jones star married screenwriter Melissa Mathison in 1983. Unfortunately, like Ford’s first marriage, theirs was not to last, and the couple divorced in 2004. Mathison received a payout of $85 million from the split, as per Forbes.

Ford got married again to Calista Flockhart in 2010. He’s also been in more blockbuster movies and currently has a potential smash hit in the works, as he’ll be reprising his famous role in the highly-anticipated Indiana Jones 5.

Tobey Maguire & Jennifer Meyer – Settlement: Undisclosed Amount

Tobey Maguire captured our hearts as Peter Parker, the teenage-student-turned-undercover-superhero in the Spiderman trilogy. It was, however, jewelry designer Jennifer Meyer that stole his heart and won him over. Alas, there was no happily ever after, and the couple ended up splitting in 2016.

It was only recently, in 2020, that Meyer filed for divorce. There has been no news as to their settlement or if there will be any financial disputes, but Meyer has reportedly requested joint custody of their children. Maguire has kept things lowkey as usual, and he’s currently filming Babylon, scheduled to hit theaters in 2022.

Hulk Hogan & Linda Hogan – Settlement: Reported $31 Million

Many people have called him the world’s most famous wrestler. However, to his ex, Hulk Hogan was a lover and a lifetime partner—at least he was supposed to be. In 2007, Linda filed for divorce from Hogan. She later explained that she had to because she thought Hogan was unfaithful.

The breakup was drastic for Hogan, as his ex-wife walked away with over 70% of their assets and managed to pocket $31 million. Fortunately, the WWE superstar seems to have recovered and gotten back to doing what he does best. He appeared in WrestleMania 37 in 2021.

Jeff Bezos & Mackenzie Bezos – Settlement: Reported $38 Billion

Jeff Bezos’ breakup from his ex-wife Mackenzie was one of the biggest news of 2019. It also became the biggest divorce settlement in history when Mackenzie received 25% of Bezos’ Amazon assets. The assets amounted to a whopping estimate of $38 billion.

Despite losing so much cash in the split, Bezos is still the world’s richest man. The Amazon founder has moved on to other things since stepping down as CEO of the company in 2021. Noticeably he’s been more focused recently on his aerospace company Blue Origin. In July 2021, he became a major talking point when he flew to space courtesy of Blue Origin.

Ted Danson & Casey Coates – Settlement: Reported $30 Million

The world got to know Ted Danson through the sitcom Cheers. For most of the ’80s, he was a famous movie star living a glamorous life. However, things took a downturn in his personal life after his 1993 scandal with actress Whoopi Goldberg. His wife, Casey Coates, got to wind of this and filed for divorce as a result.

She walked away with a major chunk of Danson’s earnings from the settlement, and the sum of the payout was reportedly worth $30 million. Danson has been busy enough to have gotten back on his feet since then. He currently plays a regular role in the series Mr. Mayor.

David Schwimmer & Zoe Buckman – Settlement: Undisclosed Amount

David Schwimmer became a massive star for his role as Ross Geller in Friends, but he managed to keep his private life under wraps. Despite this, the world knew of his split from his ex-wife, artist/photographer Zoe Buckman. The two had been married since 2010, but they separated in 2017, finalizing their divorce that year.

True to Schwimmer’s secretive nature, the separation was very private, and there have been no confirmations as to whether Buckman received any payout. We do know that he still has an ongoing role in the series Intelligence.

These two Hollywood heartthrobs seemed perfect for each other when they started dating in 2007. They met on the set of the movie Take Me Home Tonight as co-stars. To fans’ disappointment, their seemingly perfect love story was not to last as they split in 2017.

Their divorce in 2018 was harmonious, as both parties agreed on joint custody. They also declined to share any financial support as they had signed a prenup before the marriage. Both movie stars are moving on with their lives, with Pratt expected to star in anticipated blockbusters like Thor: Love and Thunder while Faris will be in Summer Madness.

Olivia Wilde & Tao Ruspoli – Settlement: Undisclosed Amount

Instead of fairytale movies, Olivia Wilde acted in action hits like Tron: Legacy and Cowboys & Aliens. But unlike many movie stars, she got to date a real-life prince. Wilde married the Italian prince Tao Ruspoli when she was still 19 years old. Despite what seemed like a true love story, the couple divorced in 2011.

Neither of them offered spousal support, and their divorce settlement was kept a secret. Wilde has come a long way since then, as she’s boosted her reputation in Hollywood. She’s now dating the crooner Harry Styles and will be starring in the upcoming movie Babylon.

Ben Stiller & Christine Taylor – Settlement: Reported $200 Million

Ben Stiller is a Hollywood veteran known for directing or acting in Zoolander, Night At the Museum, and the Madagascar franchise. He met actress Christine Taylor in 1999 on the set of a TV pilot titled Heat Vision and Jack. Although the pilot was never released, the pair commenced their love life.

Contrary to what some think, the couple never finalized their expensive breakup. If they went through it, the settlement could amount to a large sum of money: at least a reported $200 million. Based on recent reports, they look happy and united as Stiller prepares to start production of the upcoming series High Desert.

Kevin Costner & Cindy Silva – Settlement: Reported $80 Million

Kevin Costner has had a prosperous Hollywood career, winning several awards and starring in movies like The Bodyguard and Waterworld. However, his career success took its toll on his first marriage. According to reports, Costner’s first wife, Cindy Silva, felt threatened by his alluring roles, so she gave him an ultimatum to stop taking those roles or end his movie career.

It seems the Oscar winner chose his career instead as the couple got divorced in 1994. The payout from Costner’s earnings was worth a reported $80 million. That wasn’t enough to wreck the Man of Steel actor, who recently had an uncredited voice role in Zack Snyder’s Justice League.

Steven Spielberg & Amy Irving – Settlement: Reported $100 Million

We all know Steven Spielberg as the director of massive blockbusters like Jaws, Jurassic Park, and the Indiana Jones franchise. For a while, the love of his life was the actress Amy Irving. But the judge who oversaw their divorce refused to recognize the agreement and awarded Irving a settlement of $100 million, as per Forbes. Spielberg is probably set to make double that amount with upcoming movies like Indiana Jones 5 and Jurassic World: Dominion on his agenda.

Michael Jordan & Juanita Vanoy – Settlement: Reported $168 Million

With Michael Jordan’s NBA exploits from the ’80s to the 2000s, he’s been regarded as the greatest basketballer of all time. It was in 1985 that he met Juanita Vanoy. After marrying her in 1989, they ended splitting twice and finally got divorced for good in 2006. Vanoy received a massive sum of $168 million from the settlement.

It’s been decades since then, and Jordan has amassed so much more wealth through his international endorsements and several lucrative businesses. With his net worth of 1.6 billion, he is the fifth-richest African American in the world.

Robert Johnson & Sheila Crump – Settlement: Reported $400 Million

Robert Johnson and Sheila Crump were the true power couple in their time. They weren’t Hollywood famous, but they founded BET (Black Entertainment Television) and became one of the wealthiest and most influential couples in hip-hop history. Not all good things last forever, unfortunately, and their marriage of 33 years came to an end in 2002.

Jessica Andrea & Logic – Settlement: Reported Cash Payout

Logic gained worldwide fame as a rapper after his platinum album Everybody was released in 2017. Prior to that, he had been married to Jessica Andrea since 2015. TMZ reports that Logic did give Andrea some cash, but the amount was unspecified. Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’ or Brangelina, as fans adorably called them, were undoubtedly one of the most famous couples in Hollywood history. By the time they got married in 2014, they had become a family, with six children. They shocked the world by announcing their separation in 2016.

It’s been more than four years since they filed for divorce, but the two are yet to agree on financial details. Pitt, meanwhile, has been granted joint custody of their children. Amidst the ongoing battle, they remain focused on their projects, with Pitt expected to star in Blonde while Angelina Jolie will be in Eternals.

Comic book lovers might recognize Liev Schreiber for his roles in superhero movies like X-Men Origins: Wolverine and Spiderman: Into the Spider-Verse. His ex, Naomi Watts, is well known for Mulholland Drive and Divergent. The two never got married, but they had an enduring romance for 11 years before splitting in 2016.

A family lawyer has explained that custody of their children and the division of their properties and earnings could become complicated because of their unmarried status. In any event, the two stars seem to be cooperating for the sake of their two children. Watts is expected to star in Lakewood, while Schreiber will be in Ray Donovan.

Chrissy Metz & Martyn Eaden – Settlement: Undisclosed Amount

Chrissy Metz has been playing the role of Kate Pearson in This Is Us since 2016. Prior to joining the show, she had been married to British journalist Martyn Eaden since 2008. They split in 2013, and Eaden eventually filed for divorce in 2014.

Many people might only recognize Jack Osbourne for being the son of heavy metal legend Ozzy Osbourne. James Cameron is the genius director behind blockbuster movies like Titanic and Avatar. These two are part of the top three highest-grossing movies globally, so you can bet he is extremely wealthy. He had to part with some of his money due to his separation from Terminator actress Linda Hamilton.

Cameron and Hamilton were married for two years until their breakup in 1999. Hamilton reportedly walked away with a payout of $50 million. These days, she plays a regular role in the series, Resident Aliens. Cameron, on his part, is set to break the bank with four upcoming Avatar sequels.

Len Wiseman is the director of the Underworld movie franchise. On the set of the first Underworld movie, he met Kate Beckinsale, who was the film’s main star. The pair got married in 2004 but ended up splitting in 2015. Their breakup became official four years after their split.

As per People magazine, neither of them got to pay spousal support. There were reports that Beckinsale opted to keep all of her earnings. She seems to have moved on quite well as she’s set to appear in a series titled Guilty Party. Wiseman is set to produce a series based on Underworld.

The Microsoft co-founder promised he would use most of his fortune for charitable causes, but it’s also possible he just gave a large sum of it to his ex-wife Melinda Gates.

The couple’s split was finalized in August 2021. Because they opted to keep it private, it’s unclear how or if they split Bill’s net worth of $132 billion. Neither of them required spousal support, and they also agreed to continue to work together professionally.
